Ariel has been my favorite DP since I was 8!

Belle reminds me of my best friend. I can also relate to her bookishness and desire for adventure. I think her snobbishness, impulsiveness, and head-in-the-clouds demeanor round out her character, but she's still compassionate and able to see beneath the surface of others.

Mulan has a litany of flaws initially ( tardiness, clumsiness, cheating, stubbornness, laziness), and she undeniably lacks a lot of self-confidence. I guess, part of what makes Mulan an outstanding movie in my opinion, is that it depicts a very flawed girl, who has low self-esteem, and who is avoiding all of her flaws. The hardships in Mulan's life require her to face down every single one of her flaws, even her own low self-esteem issues. No one really shows up in the movie to remove ALL of the obstacles in Mulan's path. There's no magical exit! Mulan is one of the rare DPs who is shown continuously working on her flaws until she has entirely overcome them. I guess, that's why I give her the top of my list. All of the other DPs remain at around the same level of temperament and biases, and they don't really grow much overall. (Yes, I did watch other DPs repent from their wrong choices, but these were largely the fallout from problems they created themselves. And these other DPs don't exactly work on multiple fronts at one time). When we talk about character arcs, I find Mulan more interesting for having to be a problem multitasker--- something that is rare in a DP.

My favourite DP is and always will be Tiana. She is intelligent and resourceful: she could solved her problems and others' as well with mostly herself. Another traits I admire are workaholic and dedicated: instead of only wishing on something, she worked diligently to achieve her goal. I also like the fact that she is sarcastic and serious but secretly funny. But the best thing of her is that she realised her flaws and she changed to become better, more so, eventually she understood her parents' teaching of what is needed, which is the most important thing in life; love.

for being able to see past outer appearances, be open-minded, whole hearted, balanced person she is. She makes me see the world from a neutral perspective and to look for reasons than to find problem and put blame

She is self-sacrificing and wants to prove that she is worth something.
