	Digoenes picked Merida: Merida is what Ariel should've been: she makes mistakes but ultimately learns from them and admits it. She's prepared to take responsibility and marry one of the suitors while Ariel never had to really grow as a character. Anna's nice but her awkwardness to me seems calculated like some executive said, "Hey, how do we make our character relatable? Let's make her adorable and awkward and like chocolate!" 	wavesurf picked Ariel: I still like Ariel. Even after all these years, I find her to be more noble than Merida, who fed a "strange" cake to her own mother, in an attempt "to change her mother's mind." Ariel took the "strange" curse on herself, and basically wasn't out to change her father's mind. Ariel just skipped trying to change her father's staunch opinions on humans altogether, and when a "chance" opened, she took it. It was a better path than trying to change someone's mind. Changing someone's mind never works. They have to realize or come to it on their own. Like King Triton and Elinor eventually did change their minds.
