I love both so much, but I REALLY love her as a human because she's so happy. Her facial expressions are my favorite out of any animated character. You can see what she is really feeling all the time, when she's excited or sad or whatever. I think she's adorable as a human.

Ariel wanted to be a human so much, so her joy is palpable when she gets the chance. She sometimes looks miserable when she's a mermaid ( unless she is hunting around for her human nick-nacks). I like her both ways, but I love her personality and her enthusiasm the most.

She's much happier as a human.

It was a lot easier to enjoy her when she wasn't talking, though neither do I in anyway care for.
