Alright, this लेख is going to be really bad and thrown together, but I need to write it while I still have the words. I get really tired of people hating on any princess, but this is the complaint that gets on my nerves the most: चमेली has everything and still wants more! Doesn't she get how lucky she is?

I'm hoping this लेख will get Jasmine's motives across to you, because I'm really going through the same thing. I have a nice house, my parents both have jobs and are happily married, I got a scholarship to the high school of my dreams, I go to डिज़्नी World once a year, and my brother is amazing. But there's always this deep longing for something more.

चमेली knows her life is great- she's not stupid. She realizes that she lives in a paradise. But, as it often turns out, the one thing she really needs is the one thing she can't have- freedom. चमेली is a free spirit who just wants to go out and do something, anything, on her own. She wants to break away from her dull routine of wake up, get pampered, go to sleep. Remind आप of another princess who wanted more? Unlike that princess, however, it is literally impossible for चमेली to go after her freedom without breaking the rules and disregarding responsibility. Sure, it wasn't very smart, but Jasmine's only 15- even younger than Ariel! So I want आप to imagine something:

There's this one thing आप need. It's not a material thing, it's a longing. A deep longing for something indescribable. It tugs at your heart, and drives आप insane every time आप think about it. Your life is dull and uneventful, and आप feel the only way to find that one thing is द्वारा leaving it behind forever. Would आप go? Would आप go, so that आप can finally complete yourself, your soul? या would आप remain broken forever, trapped in a world of सोना encrusted walls and false smiles?

I'm fine if आप still want to say Jasmine's a bitchy little brat. I just wanted to see if maybe I could make someone understand. If after पढ़ना this आप can honestly say that her running away was unfounded, then be my guest. But, if you've made it this far, than thank आप for पढ़ना and trying to understand *gives warm pie*

madisonsavanna Well, I still kind of disagree, it's her whining that really annoys me. I'm a lucky girl, but I'm bored with my life. That doesn't mean I get to sit around the house whining and yelling at my mom about how predictable my life is. I really try to keep my negative thoughts to myself and look on the bright side of how I'm lucky to actually have a loving family and a roof over my head unlike many. She just seems very.....negative. But still, great article! You defended her well :)

firegirl1515 ^^Yeah, some of it is just her headstrong personality. She does complain, but if you were cooped up in the same place for fifteen years, I think everything might get a little old. Thanks for the compliment!

TigerRanma Yeah, you defended her well. Well I can understand Jasmine and I like her and everything. But I also agree with madisonsavanna. She reminds me^ too much of myself too. =/

percyandpotter THANK YOU! i feel exactly the same. for example, Rose from Titanic. no one says she's a brat with a fabulous life on the Titanic spot. she's rich, she fell in love with a poor boy, and is engaged to a man she doesn't love. there's no evidence that Jasmine's complained before over and over. i think she asked before to go outside the palace walls, was refused, and just got sad and dropped it. it probably built up until she had to spill it out-everyone has the right to complain sometimes. anyway, i know i'm ranting. i feel really strongly about this.

MackenzieS I never thought of Jasmine that way, but you're completely right. Also, I can totally relate to you. Like you, I've basically gotten everything I've ever wanted, but for some reason, it just isn't enough. You always want something more...adventure. Something that isn't just wake up, get dressed, go to school, come home, do your homework, watch some T.V., eat dinner, shower, and go to sleep. It's all so boring. I completely understand. We all want what we can't have, right?

faya27 Yes I agreed with you. Like Ariel, Jasmine had a good life, but wanted more. Sometimes people do get bored with their dull daily routine and want to do something different and exciting. The Suitor thing bugged Jasmine because her father didn't understand what kind of husband she wanted to marry. She tried telling him that the suitors were jerks and were not marriage material. Yes, royalty isn't all it is cracked up to be. Yes, in Disney movies, royalty is nice but in reality, it is royally painful. Look at what happened to Princess Diana or any woman who married King Henry the 8th.

Queenofpink I agree completely! I really hate when people bash Jasmine and Ariel for wanting more than what they had. Belle was really the same way too, she didn't want to stay in her village, she wanted more, to go out and have adventures. I understand why they would get tired of doing the same thing everyday with nothing new and exciting. I love Jasmine, she's my favorite, so I feel defensive of her, and Ariel as well (she's my third favorite.)

It's weird to think I've been on फैन्पॉप for almost a whole year. In some ways, that seems like a really short amount of time considering how much at घर I feel in this club. In other ways it feels like a really long time, since so much has happened since joining Fanpop. When I look back on how I was when I first joined Fanpop, I cringe a little inside. I am a huge डिज़्नी प्रशंसक and I when I was little and still today I have been inspired द्वारा डिज़्नी princesses. I believe that each princess has a positive characteristic that makes then easy to look up to. Another characteristic that i believe the princesses have is something that most would disagree with. It is the imperfectness of each character. Most talk about how perfect the princesses are but I fail to see that. Each one has a characteristic that makes then imperfect but at the same time, making them realistic. Because I like to be दिया examples I will share some:

Alexandra and the Princesses Part 7

In the last part we met Mulan. In this part we'll see what the huns are going to do and if मूलन gets honored या not.

Later they dicoverd that some of the huns where alive and they where on the way to a big town below which was Beiijing. मूलन fixed Khan and Alexandra hopped up on the horse along with मूलन and Mushu.

They where having a big parade there to celebrate that the huns where gone so of course nobody knew that they where still alive.

But when a pair of them appeared from a big dragon and they saw their leader Shan-Yu on the roof they realised that they where still alive. The huns captured...

1. Cinderella. Shes a total classic princess, and that's why I प्यार her. Plus her dress is amazing and she got to totally दिखाना up her mean sisters :)
2. Rapunzel. She probably would have been my first if she didn't annoy me so much when I first saw Tangled. But after watching the movie like 6 times, I realized she was actually really awesome.

I think सिंडरेला is one of the best role मॉडेल of the princesses. The thing she was दिया the most flack for was not standing up for herself and not running away from home. C'mon, run away from home? And go where? Secondly, she's not gonna leave this house she grew up in. It's the one of the few things she has left of her father and mother, it has so many memories, if she left it she would feel guilty and disloyal. My first प्रिय princess is Ariel. She is pretty and she's got long hair like I do but different color. I really प्यार her गाना voice and dresses. I प्यार her best friend फ़्लॉन्डर, अशुद्धि and he is my प्रिय character of "The Little Mermaid". I प्यार Ariel a lot in my life like चमेली and Cinderella.
