Second: Here is my personal break-down analysis based on knowledge of Arab/Muslim culture compared to the डिज़्नी अलादीन film.

The majority of Princess Jasmine's numerous flaws stem from the fact that she is completely inaccurate and offensive to her culture. From the clothes she wears to the way she speaks, चमेली does not represent Arab या Muslim women at all but rather a disgraceful woman in their culture. Unfortunately, चमेली is not a suitable role model for young girls.

1. चमेली is dressed like a Harem girl instead of a princess. A princess is the daughter of the king who no man is allowed to touch without the king's approval. A harem girl is one of the king's many mistresses. No king would dress his daughter like his mistress. No father would want to see his daughter dressed in that way.

2. चमेली is very impulsive to her detriment. She runs away from घर which would never happen in reality as she knows she would've been raped and/or killed as a lone female running around, especially in that clothing.

3. चमेली does not choose her words wisely and therefore gets herself into और trouble. (Example: She says "At least one good thing will come of me being Queen, I'll have the power to get rid of you!" to Jafar. Now, someone who wasn't trying to stop her from getting to be क्वीन has all of the incentive in the world to stop Jasmine. If चमेली had kept her mouth shut, she could've just became क्वीन and actually got rid of Jafar instead of just talking about it.)

4. चमेली doesn't have enough self worth/value. As she says in Aladdin, "I am not a prize to be won." So she's just some trash to be thrown out? She completely looks at herself the wrong way. She IS a prize to be won and she gets to choose who gets to win. Instead of just being दिया to someone, her preferences are actually playing a huge part. Most other princesses in the world and most other women in the middle east (Jasmine's culture) would not have had so many luxuries in choice of who to marry as चमेली did.

In addition, when चमेली first meets अलादीन when he saves her in the marketplace, she immediately goes घर with him. He is a stranger and she has no idea what he will do to her. She also knows अलादीन is lying about what Abu says when अलादीन pretends Abu "thinks it's awful" that चमेली "has to get married". In this moment, she goes to किस अलादीन but the guards interrupt. No proper young lady would go back to a strange man's house and let him make his moves on you. If she had और self value, she wouldn't be offering her first किस to a बिना सोचे समझे सड़क, स्ट्रीट criminal that she doesn't even know if she should trust या not yet.

5. चमेली is incredibly spoiled. Instead of recognizing how much better her life is than any other woman around her, चमेली refuses to acknowledge her blessings and instead is very spoiled and selfish in her wants for more. Nothing would ever be good enough for चमेली as her life is already better than everyone else around her yet she still complains. All her father wanted, was to know that his daughter would be taken care of द्वारा a good man before he died and she wouldn't even give these men the time of day. How is she supposed to know whether या not they are worthy या whether या not she could प्यार them when she wont even really meet them या give them a chance? She'd be a much और pleasant and reasonable person if she at least gave them a chance but made no connection. The film makes it obvious that she doesn't even try to connect with them though.

6. चमेली is absolutely a tease and not just for her clothing. Having watched the film, it is easy to say that her clothes are chosen for her rather than chosen द्वारा her. This doesn't change the fact that she is so unpleasant in her personality that the most likely reason for her provocative clothing is so as not to scare off every potential suitor. Besides her clothing though, चमेली acts like a tease on her own accord. She teases अलादीन on the balcony before berating him. (Refer to #6.)

7. चमेली is referred to as a "Shrew". A "shrew" is a person with violent temper and speech. This is not seen as becoming of a young woman. She should no better when to hold her tongue and when not to. She is also a prejudiced shrew, being awful to innocent people who don't deserve it. When अलादीन compliments Jasmine, telling her that he thinks she is beautiful, her response is to tease and then berate him. She says "Hmm... Yes. I'm rich too. The daughter of a sultan. A fine prize for any prince." to which अलादीन says "A prince like me." Hopeful that with his new status, he will finally be worthy of Jasmine's प्यार and attention. He goes through a lot just to get to see her again and how does she respond? "A prince like आप and EVERY other peacock I've met. Just, go jump off a balcony!" What a shrew! This guy goes through all of this trouble just so he will be allowed to meet and talk to आप and all आप can say is for him to go kill himself? Over what? Being attracted to you?

8. चमेली is incredibly spoiled. All her father wanted, was to know that his daughter would be taken care of द्वारा a good man and she wouldn't even give these men the time of day. How is she supposed to know whether या not they are worthy या whether या not she could प्यार them when she wont even really meet them?

9. चमेली is prejudiced. She doesn't even want to give अलादीन a chance just because now he is a prince even though he is the same guy? This proves that चमेली is not a generous या kind person who takes people as they are but rather for what they represent. She didn't even care to know अलादीन as Ali because of what he represented not who he was as a person.

10. चमेली is a hypocrite. In addition to her being rude to Ali just because he was a prince, she was still rude when she realized he was अलादीन the whole time. When she tricked Ali into admitting that he was Aladdin, she got very upset and started yelling at him. She yelled at him because he lied about who he was even though she started the lying in the first place when she lied about being a princess. How could she get mad at अलादीन for pretending to be something he's not when she did the exact same thing? Somehow it's right when she does it but wrong for anyone else? Exact definition of a hypocrite. Both अलादीन and चमेली felt trapped द्वारा their positions in society and they both lied about who they were to discover another world they felt denied of. She had no leg to stand on whatsoever for getting mad at Aladdin.

Personally, this is all a shame to me because they pretended चमेली was an Arab princess but then they designed everything about her to be American या an Arab harlot. This is not representative of her culture या of a princess. [I personally would have loved to see her और true to character as I think Muslim/Arab women have a very unique grace and bravery that could have been shown.] I believe the reason that चमेली gets negatively portrayed in lots of "fan fiction" is because she is so much in conflict with her own culture and princess culture. It is hard for grown adults to take चमेली seriously as a role model for young girls when she is portrayed this way.

Had चमेली been portrayed और accurately, she would've been far और like Cinderella, Ariel या Belle. She would've been braver, kinder and और modest. She would've had और grace and poise the way a princess should. The most accurate चमेली was portrayed in अलादीन was in her purple royal engagement announcement dress. That is the चमेली who should be sold to the little girls. Not the spoiled, impulsive, shrew-like tease version of her.

NOTE: अलादीन IS taken from "1001 Nights" या "Arabian Nights". Princess चमेली is based on Princess Badroulbadour who is Chinese (not Arab) and described as being somewhat spoiled and vain.

Hello डिज़्नी Princess Fans!

First let me apologize for being so bit late getting the लेख up this time, and explain what happened. Along with the business of the holiday season there was a family emergency. In mid-January my Dad came down with Covid-19 and had to be hospitalized for over a week. Fortunately he's back घर and doing better now. But as आप can imagine I didn't feel much like writing, nor did I have the time while that was going on.

Anyway, before we get started let me give आप a brief run down of the Meet the DP प्रशंसकों articles, in case आप happen to new to the club and/or unfamiliar...

1. Congrats on being प्रशंसक of the Month! How does it feel?
Thank you!! I am very honored and I feel very excited because this is the first time I'm प्रशंसक of the Month.

2. How did आप find this spot and what made आप stay?
I'm a big प्रशंसक of anime, I remember watching “Fushigi Yuugi” at that time. I was obsessed with Tasuki. I still like him (but I don't get obsessed anymore, LOL). Anyway, I was looking for pictures and screenshots of him. That's how I found Fanpop. My reasons for staying? Because I like to participate in activities (polls, quizzes, answers), I made good friends, I प्यार sharing...

Okay, as promised! Here is the comparison both the 1998 animated feature as well as the 2020 live action reboot. Ready?

The Story

So we start of with the Invasion of the Huns in the animated film, as well as reporting the invasion to the Emperor. We see मूलन getting ready for the Matchmaker later on.
In the live action version, we see Mulan's childhood and even has a sister who is specially created for the film mainly for character developments. (tied)

The Characters

We get to see Mushu in the animated version, this is due to comic relief for the entire movie. He, Cri-Kee and Little Brother...

What I प्यार the most about मूलन is she's someone who was trained for battle but instead of depending on weapons to win the war, she uses strategy. It shows that आप don't always have to rely on brute strength या weapons to win, आप can use your own brain. It really bums me out that people forget that about मूलन and just remember her for learning how to fight. -BB2010

I प्यार her bravery, perseverance and how she's willing to disguise as a man and go off to war to save her father. -LMH5113

I प्यार Mulan's प्यार for her family. She loved her family so much that she would risk her own life to save...

On the Ninth दिन of Princess Walt डिज़्नी gave to me

Nine Ships are sailing

eight mice a-sewing
seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

If आप ever want to establish a new international holiday, do it in September. I am serious, there are surprisingly few actual holidays in this महीना - but a lot of really weird ones. I was kind of tempted to mark "Talk like a Pirate Day" in the calendar for that reason alone, but soon I had two hot contenders. One was Heritage दिन which would have most likely...

On the fifth दिन of Princess
Walt डिज़्नी gave to me

Five cursed friends,

four braiding girls,
three fairy spells,
two lucky pals,
and the wisdom of an old tree.

In case आप haven't noticed yet, when I put this calendar together, my goal was to make it as international as possible..meaning, it wasn't supposed to feature the holidays of a specific country, it was supposed to feature holidays which are as widely as possible celebrated, या at least well-known. I also tried to find holidays which could be in some way be related to a princess. Hence I picked Rapunzel for May.

As आप can see, I...

It's typical of sequels to come out about 2 या 3 years after the first film. Sometimes, sequels come out the साल after the first one. However, फ्रोज़न 2 has come out 6 years after the first film. That's something it has in common with Alice Through the Looking Glass, which came out 6 years after the first film. Of course, the big the सवाल is if the wait was worth it. In this review, I will discuss how the two films compare to each other, as well as give my feelings on the premise and cast of characters.

Frozen 2 brings back the cast of the first film (excluding Prince Hans and the Duke...

 ऐनस्टेशिया and Dmitri
Anastasia and Dmitri
Hi guys, it's been ages since I had written my last लेख that I decided to write another comparison article. This time it is both ऐनस्टेशिया and Cinderella, ready?

Anastasia

So, we all know about what happened to Anastasia. Upon watching this for the first time in many years, it was like ऐनस्टेशिया became सिंडरेला because she was like the लॉस्ट princess that her beloved grandma is looking for, hence the ballet द्वारा Sergei Prokofiev was shown during the scene when they were in Paris, France.
The संगीत box plays a role in the movie, it is very similar with the glass slipper in Cinderella. Both...

Something I've often कहा in the past is one of the scariest type of villain is one that could exist in real life like Frollo, Bellweather, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel. Gaston is definitely a villain that deserves to be on this list.

Some people will say he's too silly to be a scary villain या just isn't scary enough until the climax of the movie. But some people who have had to deal with their own Gastons in life will say differently.

First off, it's made pretty clear from the beginning that Gaston is a bully who has most likely never been told "no" and therefore can never take it for...

11. Aurora
Ever since I was a little kid Aurora didn't leave much of an impact. I've always hated the whole "love at first sight" deal so I really don't like that she quickly falls in प्यार with literally the first guy she meets and then gets all upset that she can't see him anymore after only meeting him once for a few seconds. Then there's the fact that for the rest of the movie she's asleep so there's nothing else we get to know about her.

She is really pretty, I've always loved her डिज़ाइन and her dresses...
