For such a successful and expensive film, Frozen's complete lack of diversity (particularly ethnic diversity) really vexed me. फ्रोज़न has four main human characters and out of the four:
- Four are white
- Four are all apparently straight
- Three are blonde
Looking at this, आप can tell there is very little variation in Frozen's main cast. In ethnic terms, there really is no excuse of this. फ्रोज़न needed और POC.
I have heard one main argument (read: excuse) why फ्रोज़न didn't have any racially diverse characters (and no: I am not counting black background characters). Some say that फ्रोज़न was set in a medieval Scandinavian country, so obviously, everybody there could only have been white, blond-haired and blue-eyed.
This is complete nonsense because firstly - not everybody there looked the same and (believe it या not) other hair colours and races DID exist in Europe. Also, along with other POC who lived in Scandinavia, there were also Saami people and others like them who lived in Scandinavia for centuries. It is my personal view that Kristoff definitely should have been Saami as his role is similar to that of traditional Inuits in the film.
Secondly, Arendelle is only based on a medieval Scandinavia. In reality, it is a fictional. Elsa has a ice powers for god sake! How is THAT और plausible than a POC being royalty या a main character in Frozen?
I hope आप can see that डिज़्नी really has no excuse for the lack of POC among it's main cast. In the future, hopefully we will have और racially diverse characters that are in the future in EVERY FILM (not just something like Moana).
Thanks for reading.

I was thinking about the fact that Middle-Eastern and Indian royalty back in the days would have what is called a harem. Jasmine's dad as far as we know doesn't have one. If Jasmine's dad had one it would be very likely she would have had shared living quarters with her steps and half-sisters and maybe aunts.
I think if चमेली had grown up in a harem she would been complete different and be 1)competitive and 2)she would also be Vigilant due to the number of X times she had been poison-if on purpose या द्वारा accident द्वारा the steps.
of course there's the fact Jafar could somehow 'use' her steps to get closer to her. So maybe that's one of the reasons why they didn't have a harem.
