Technically, she's just the Chief Powhatan's daughter. Then again, he is looked as an authority leader and in some ways, royalty. He is somewhat of a "king" to his people, therefore Pocahontas would be a princess. Besides that, डिज़्नी thought she had the qualities and traits of a role model, so they put her in the lineup. In real life, she was not a princess even though she was Powhatan's प्रिय daughter.

ofc youre right just bc shes made द्वारा डिज़्नी doesnt mean shes a princess if we go द्वारा that logic then every single female character made द्वारा डिज़्नी would be a princess and that not the case. shes a dp because डिज़्नी कहा she is and द्वारा all means whatever they say. if youre asking how is she considered a princess then its like what @CRaZy_rawR said, her father is an authority leader and the definition of a princess is the daughter of a monarch, meaning supreme ruler and such.
