I'm afraid if it happens this season, Elena will get freaked out and wind up running back to Stefan. They need time to get used to being in love before having sex.

Too soon as far as the writers are concerned? No.

Something as big as Delena having sex would be perfect for sweeps. And if the writers wanted to go for surprise and a WOW I could totally see them doing it. This is TVD after all, there are surprises all the time.

Now do I think it's too soon as far as Delena goes? Yes and no.

I think if they have sex Elena will freak out as Ashli82 above said, but I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing. If she freaks out and goes back to Stefan, then she will realize that much sooner that she is in love with Damon and things with Stefan are no longer like they were. I really believe Elena will have to be with Stefan again to completely realize she is in love with Damon. W/o going back to Stefan she might feel guilty and wonder what if. And in my opinion when Damon and Elena do finally get together there's no way they're waiting to have sex anyways. :D

That being all said, I'm not saying that this blind item is talking about Delena sex, but it's a definite possibility IMO.

No it makes sense for me, they have an incredible sexual chemistry, when they will kiss, and this time a real intense kiss, they won't be able to stop. It makes sense. And seriously this triangle have to move on.

it's soon, they have to reconnect again after this blowout and I don't want neither of them to have regrets :D

That's what happened with Forwood, for me. I really loved their friendship and their build up in s2. And I really couldn't wait to finally see them together, but then in s3 they just jumped into bed, and I didn't really like them as a couple.

DE had so slow, but absolutely amazing build up, and I really like that, I don't want that to change. Isn't that what we don't like about SE? That they were thrown together so quickly. Yeah, we have been waiting for 3 seasons, so it's not early for the fans, but I think it is too early for Damon and Elena. Elena is just starting to realize her feelings. She doesn't even know what she feels right now. She thinks kissing Damon is not right at the moment, I can't imagine her sleeping with Damon so soon.

I want her to admit her feelings for Damon by the end of the season and I want another kiss, initiated by Elena this time, and that would be enough for me this season. And we would have something to look forward to in the next season/s.

I'm conflicted. Yes; because it's too soon. I'm afraid it'd ruin their relationship. No; because it's DEX!

It depens what will happen till the finale
