I am so hurt and upset that the publishers fired Smith for wanting Elena to choose Damon. It's her work! They want a Stelena and Bamon endgame so they fired her because she refused to write it. It's soooo obvious who Elena wants in the end of Midnight, and who Damon declares as the only one he has ever loved. It makes me sick and very depressed. The new series will have a ghostwriter, and L.J.s name is on the cover, as "created by" but people will still think she wrote it, when she did not. Very deceiving. I love Delena so much in the books and on the show, and its breaking my heart that they will sever that relationship that has grown so beautifully throughout the series. I will only regard Books 1 -7 (Midnight) as the Vampire Diaries because they are Smith's vision,story, and her characters. So I will believe in Smith's vision for Damon and Elena as the endgame and that the two twin flames merge into one, literally. Anything that comes afterward from HarperCollins as a hoax and a different book/series.

I hope, no, I am pleading to book Delena fans to not buy the next book. I will not, because of my respect for L.J. Smith and my love for Damon and Elena. I cannot imagine a world without them together. I want the publishers to get the message from fans when their sales plummet.

So I am sorry to say, that in the future books, Bamon will become real.

^ Well, the publishers wanted an SE endgame yes BUT they never said anything about a DB endgame. They said they DID NOT want BONNIE scenes. They never said anything about DB though (But they most likely will push it since they want SE to work so badly)

Absolutely NOT!!!

I refuse to read any books by someone other than LJ Smith, who created the characters, ships, & storylines in the first place. I get that the publishers r the bosses of what is allowed & not, but they freely permitted LJ to write the characters the way they & the storylines so far, so its her vision & her heart going into the story from the very beginning.

Also, I refuse to read books that dont have the REAL characters in it. They will have the same names, maybe act the same in some ways, but at the end of the day, they wont have the same essence in magic to their character traits anymore since it was LJ Smith herself who captured all of it primarily.

Lastly, it wasnt just DE endgame that caused LJ to get fired. It was other factors as well. & it pisses me off beyond comprehension that theyre going to dumb down the epic Delena scenes in *Midnight* as just, "physical attraction", while her "true wuv" is Steffy-poo *rolls eyes*. Thats bull & TRUE fans of the TVD books should know that. If not, then no offense, but its just ignoring whats written in plain sight & being bias/blind by hunger for Stelena/Bamon endgame.

Even book SE fans shouldnt be satisfied cuz of this since 1) it may not have been LJs true choice & 2) its default, meaning: FORCED. DB is just an alternative so precious book Stelena can stay together. Damon only loved Elena & didnt have hidden love for Bonnie. It was referred to *caring* & the only thing his soul (little boy) wanted to say to Bonnie was he was sorry while chid-Damon told Elena he loved her, not just during the *only loved u* scene. I am not gonna go out of my way to bash. It just bugs me that some can ignore what has been written down. Sorry for ranting LOL.

My best friend will buy it, and she'll tell me if she likes the book! And then I decide. But I have many doubts, that I'll buy it. I don't think it's gonna be good. I mean Bamon, Stelena...but who knows

If the publishers didn't want LJ Smith to write any more books for them, then fine. But to go ahead and publish more books under a different writer is nauseating. They are stealing from the fans - as long as there's a market for this kind of thing, they will keep rolling out the books, regardless of where the story is going, who's in it, and who wrote it. All they care about is the money. They don't really care about the story, and to be honest, I don't think they ever did. If they cared about the story, then they would have agreed with the direction LJ Smith wanted to go in and the ending she wanted to write. They would have agreed with her choice of a DE endgame, because they would have understood how important they were, and would not have fired her. It makes me mad. The new books don't deserve to sell, and if they do, then LJ Smith's fans have betrayed her.

No way. They are crazy if they think I'll read any series about Stefan and Elena and Elena feeling nothing towards Damon. UGH Boycott the new books and spread the word

Not in my life I won't. The publishers are literally stealing LJ's work and twisting it in a sick way until it's virtually unrecognizable. They're forcing their preferences on fans, not because they worried a DE endgame will anger the fans, since most people like DE. For me, DE will always be endgame because the true author wanted them to be.

NEVER!!! for me, the books ended, when delena ended and LJSmith was fired!! there are no books for me, if there is no delena!! foe me, delena will always be the TRUE endgame of the VD end of!!!
