I do not intend to bash, but state FACTS about why Damon falling in प्यार with Bonnie would be a big mistake on the writers part.
So firstly, how long was Damon in प्यार with Katherine for?! Over 100 years! This is the first piece of proof we have that when Damon loves someone he really loves them, because he was willing to do anything for Katherine, even kill people (this isn't justified, but he was doing it for her), because Katherine was "in the tomb" and he wanted to get her out to be with her.
Then when it came to the crunch, when Damon thought he would finally get his girl, he finds out she wasn't there for the 100+ years he thought she was there for, and that she had purposely avoided him because she had never loved him in the first place; Damon was heartbroken, the ONE girl he loved had betrayed him.
Then Elena came along. We know that he is falling for her, या probably already has and vice versa. We know this because the basic plot of The Vampire Diaries is the प्यार triangle. Think about it -- for over 100 years, Damon has been "in love" with Katherine and no one else. He has been a monster, killed people and not cared AT ALL about people's feelings. But this changes, as we have seen through the course of season one. We know he cares about his brother, as much as he tries to make his life hell, and he cares about Elena as he proved in the Isobel episode. How hard must it have been for Damon to let his guard down and care about someone, after what Katherine did to him?
I think this is going to lead to a rocky ride for Damon and Elena. Damon is going to be on and off with his feelings for Elena because he is afraid to get hurt again. Damon might come across as a monster sometimes, but he is misunderstood. He does the things he does because he is hurting and he tries to convince himself that he doesn't care that he is killing people, when deep down, maybe sometimes on a subconsious level, he does.
Another thing -- do आप think Damon's feelings are just going to switch off for Elena?! The answer is no. It took him over 100+ years to get over Katherine and the same will happen with Elena, unless she picks him in the end She better!
So Damon falling in प्यार with Bonnie would be unreal to me and ruin Damon's character. Damon in प्यार with Katherine, then Elena, then Bonnie?! Are people seriously saying that Damon would actually do that?! As I've कहा When Damon falls in love, he falls hard
Finally, because of this reason, if Damon falls in प्यार with Bonnie, which is highly doubtful but still, then I'm done with the show. Damon is my favourite character on The Vampire Diaries, so making him fall in प्यार with a lot of girls isn't believeable to me and would ruin his character. He would be like a Stefan, as I believe it's a Stefan trait to fall in प्यार easily not Damon. If Elena chose Damon, then I believe Stefan would get over it eventually, I don't think Damon ever would. And think about it -- do we want another Stefan?! Cheesy, boring etc because he is all for caring and protecting everyone?! Damon isn't like that. He cares about people but he tries to deny it most of the time. I do not believe he will ever दिखाना that he cares about a lot of people, (not just Stefan and Elena) until the दिखाना eventually ends.
So in short - I don't want another Stefan! Keep my boy Damon as he is and make sure he NEVER falls in प्यार with Bonnie!

The corpse fell on the basement floor, mute for a human ear, but as Katherine heard the thump, she figured Rachel would’ve too.
