I focus, too, on the Gospel instead of a religion. Forget that 'religion' label, just follow God & His Son Jesus Christ!
But bak to the origonal question, I beleive that Living Hope refers to itself as nondenominational.
ninjamonkey: that's perfectly fine. I can understand that you are at a crossroads in your life, and I am willing to talk and help you out any way I can. I have to say that I am a Christian and while I resepct other religions, I do not beleive that they are the way to eternal life through Christ. If you don't mind, I will pray for you as you consider religions...this is a very big decision in someones life, and I know personally that it can be a difficult one.
Also, there's no need to insult someone with different opinions to you. Prove to me that there is a God then.
"hate the damn f***ing idiot who put ATHEIST!"
"Love your neighbour, and love your enemies"
Anyone notice a contradiction?
RatDog, I hope you'll recognize that not all Christians feel the same way that H20Rikki1 does. That was out of line.
I wish I could simply prove there is a God but the truth is, believing in God is something that requires Faith. In the end, I think it is more believable that a divine being created the universe and us then it is to believe that everything just happened to come into existence.
I don't think I can have faith in something that never does anything for me. I know you're not supposed to expect anything from God, but I don't see the point in living a life dictated by a being you don't even know exists.
I know it's tough to believe in a being that you can't see or touch. But when you look around at nature and everything around you, it seems to me that there's no way it all could have simply happened by accident. The world works WAY too smoothly to have happened by chance. There must have been a designer behind it...God.
Anywho, I'm joining this thing late, but I agree with Krys. I'm not part of particular denomination. I just love worshiping Jesus :)
Which brings me to my next point, through free will I would choose Pepsi any day, unless I was in mexico because Coke is better there.
McDonald's or Burger King?
AMEN! :)
To the person who insulted atheism: Like someone said above (too lazy to check) Love your neighbor. Let me put it this way, God hates no one, whether they believe in him or not. We are supposed to strive to be like God. Think about it.
Pepsi or Coke: Pepsi. They make Mountain Dew...
Burger King or McDonald's: Wendy's kicks both their butts.
My religion: I was raised Catholic. I converted to being a Baptist for a while, but returned to the Catholic church because I had some problems with the Baptist church I went to. Nothing against any Baptists on here, if course. I still think the Baptists are great people, but I just felt more at home in the Catholic Church. Heck, sometimes I have problems with the Catholics, too, but I get along there best. I guess, in some ways, I'm just a Non-demoninational Christian who just prefers to go to te Catholic church. I've been in a lot of other Christian churchs and can get along pretty well in all of them. But, like I said, I was raised Catholic. It's like home.
I love the hospitality of this spot. As a fan of Christ and the Christian principal in theory, that is why I am here, even if I'm not Christian.
:)
Well, I believe that Jesus was the son of Christ. I was told that this tells you what denomination you are, is that correct??
Follower of Martin Luther wo created the Lutheran church. :)
God Bless!
mainly: no virgin mary worshipping, no saint worshipping, no celibacy, 2 instead of 7 sacraments, women can become priests too
30% of the german population is protestant
One thing that strikes me when I listen to them is just how ancient they are (having been used for over 1000 years).
They also make me remember that Christianity was originally an Eastern religion.
