This is my trying to briefly outline the reasons I like Captain हंस so much as well as the reasons I could never get behind any of the other लोकप्रिय ships with these characters. Be warned though, this maybe updated an edited later on as I remember ships and reasons I want to talk about. Also, anyone who has read my other लेखाए on the Once Upon a Time प्रशंसक page will probably notice a lot of overlap.

First up: Captain Swan. Both Emma and Hook are the type of personalities the other needs. Emma needs someone who will worship her. She needs someone who she knows she can trust with her feelings and her love. Hook maybe a rogue, a flirt and a scoundrel but when he loves he loves so deeply. As I कहा in another article: he's very much a character of extremes. When he hates he hates with all his being but he loves the same way. आप can see this is how he dealt with the situation with Milah. He wasn't ever able to come to terms with her death to grieve properly and instead he became obsessed with revenge. So much so he traveled to a land where he would never grow old and die so that he would have enough time to discover a way to kill the most powerful being in all the land and execute it. Emma knows this, she knows that if she were to allow both of them to develop feelings for the other she could be assured of his complete and utter devotion. It's not in his nature to give any less.

It's the same with trust. Emma needs someone she can trust absolutely. To tie in with my argument against SwanFire/SwanThief, Neal is no longer this person. When he betrayed her to the cops he broke her so much she was unable to trust anyone else for ten years after she got out of jail. No matter what happens now, she will always have a voice in the back of her head wondering when his अगला betrayal will come. Wondering when fear of his past and of magic will send him running, leaving her behind yet again. Killian would never have left Milah like that, he just wouldn't. It's not his nature. This is elaborated on in far और detail in my लेख link. I can't go into it here because I've so many other people to talk about.

I didn't really like Gremma either. This is personal preference और than anything else because I didn't like Graham's character. He made terrible choices and behaved abominably in the episode where he died toward Emma. He threw a dart right beside her head across Granny's भोजन करनेवाला, डिनर and easily could have hit her with it, perhaps even killed her. I don't appreciate relationships where a supposed 'Good Guy' endangers the life of he person he loves because her attitude is pissing him off. Also, just after this, he kisses her without her permission. He had no right and I'm so glad she called him out on this and told him that it was out of line. They were not in a relationship, and he was her boss, completely inappropriate. i'm also on Emma's side in regards to Graham sleeping with Regina in the same house as Henry and sneaking around to do it. I suppose after all this I wasn't too keen on the kisses at the end where Emma seems like she's going to give a relationship with him a shot. In my mind he had a lot to make for before they got to that point. And then, of course, he died, so that coupled with everything else put an end to any inclination to ship them. I don't see any point hanging on to a dead ship.

With August, there's his behavior in regards to his watching over Emma as well as my dislike of him as a character. As with Graham above, I don't hold on to dead ships and since August is now a child there's no point shipping it, even if was inclined to. Jefferson ... there's nothing between the characters. There's just the feelings of the actors getting in the way.

Now on the other side, I don't ship Hook with anyone other than Emma, even if I'd adore to see और flashbacks of Milah. Milah and Hook brought out the best in each other and I प्यार seeing how devoted he was to her. I don't ship it because, again, Milah is dead and so is the ship, but they are canon and so are their feelings of great affection for one another.

The other person Hook is commonly shipped with is Regina and logically they have a lot in common: their loves both died, they both spent a lot of time living for revenge. But I find that their personalities get in the way. Neither of them are in particularly happy places right now and they both have quite dark personalities. They'd feed off each other's darkness with neither of them having any light to share. To quote something I कहा somewhere else: "both Emma and Regina are similar characters in that they are fiercely strong, passionate, independent people who need someone who will soften them and who they can open up to. But I think they're also very different in that Regina needs someone sweet and soft in themselves. She needs someone who won't be harsh with her. But on the other hand, Emma is so closed off she needs needs someone who will smash down her walls and drag her out despite her fear of trust and closeness. That's not to say that she needs someone harsh but she needs someone who can hold their own and not back down from her. She's so damaged she's not going to open up without a fight."

There's nothing between Hook and Ruby either - the only scene they shared was a deleted one.
