BTS\' New York concert cut short & hi-touch event canceled after gun threat

ARMYs in New York for BTS\' show tonight had an amazing time, but unfortunately the event wrapped up in confusion and frustration. Everyone in the audience couldn\'t help but be confused when the concert was abruptly cut off at the end - there were no goodbyes and only one encore song, and the boys had not performed either "Dope" or "Heungtan Boys" as everyone had been expecting. 

Even more shocking for the fans, the hi-touch event as well as the photo-op were canceled, leaving some in tears as it was an event they had been so looking forward to. Currently, it is rumored that all fan engagement events for all 4 USA stops have been or may be canceled.

The concert staff announced that they had no choice but to make this decision for the safety of the members and all the fans in attendance. Although nothing is currently confirmed, it is highly likely that the cancellation and the abrupt end of the concert happened due to a gun threat on

She was allegedly contacted by one of the Best Buy Theater venue staff, and initially insisted that she had been hacked and it wasn\'t her who posted the initial gun threat.

However, later on she changed her words to say that she had been joking, or "trolling", and that she had not been at the concert venue, or even in the USA:

As her tweets spread like wildfire and ARMYs found out what had happened, the prankster deleted her Twitter along with her tweets. 

As if to say bye and apologize for the abrupt cancellation, the BTS members have posted selcas and videos thanking New York fans. Most importantly, they seem to be alright. 

Hopefully many will learn through this situation that a joke such as this one is not always taken lightly, and may prove to have sad consequences for everyone else.

Way to make us American fans look bad! How in the world should a death threat be taken as a joke whether they are idols or not. Grow up!

Talking about someone dying is not something you should be joking about. taking someone\'s life should never be a joke wtf. that girls wasn\'t even a bts fan to began with ugh.

I want to apologize for this situation, and I really hope that bts knows that not all of their international fans are like this. A big amount of us cares about their health and safety. as long as i know that they\'re alright, then so am i. all these death threats are being sent to rap monster and instead of hating on him, we should help educate him that what he said was wrong in a kind matter. rap monster does not deserve all this hate and he honestly deserves the world becase he\'s such a great guy.

Seriously people...when did the term black become racist calm ure asses down. He didn\'t offend the African American community or even talked about them. In the asian culture they use black or dark instead of tan when their skin color changes..

The word black doesn\'t exclusively belong to African Americans, who are not even black but rather dark brown, so stop being offended and special every time someone says black.

I hate how she wants to say it\'s a joke. Like it may seem like a joke to her but in America jokes about threatening to shoot somebody is scary. I feel bad for all the fans that went to that concert because they probably spent $200 dollars for that concert and the hi-touch event. And now they probably have to get their money back (if they let them). She may not know this but there have been lots of shootings in America and that\'s why they cancelled the hi-touch events just to protect everybody and BTS. I understand what Rap Monster said was wrong but is really necessary to threaten his life. How do you think his family, his company, his members and the fans would feel if Rap Monster is gone. That girl needs to be punished and she needs to apologize to all the fans, BTS, and their company for threatening Rap Monster\'s life

And now all of us Army\'s are apologizing to BTS for what happened. Now all of us have to suffer, everyone is apologizing to BTS and I know they are hurting on the inside. They try not to show it but we all know that they are crying on the inside.

She is from Canada because she turned on her location when she posted those tweets.

How is this in any way, shape, or form considered a joke? A threat is NEVER a joke. I am embarrassed and ashamed that she is a Canadian being one myself. Maybe now she ruined the possibility of BTS ever touring in Canada for the rest of us SANE Canadian ARMY\'s.  She is a disgrace and something needs to happen. A death threat is a criminal offense and she should be held accountable. Maybe then she will learn the difference between what a joke is and isn\'t.

@xeerrreex I was actually there and Jungkook looks like he always looks. Ramon also said he wanted to burn his clothes when he first met him because he looked like a farm boy. Sorry but you\'re not going to win this. He did nothing wrong and he\'s not going to apologise just to appease western mentality and their delicacy over the word black.
