I know not everyone celebrates Christmas, but in many countries, there is a big break coming up, and I thought I would share some good vacation-type reads. So put these on hold at the पुस्तकालय now to prepare for a long period of time for relaxation and good reading.

1. His Dark Materials द्वारा Philip Pullman
(The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass)-I read this series once over a break and it is fantastic. Deep and meaningful while still a quick read. The 2nd one is my favorite.

2. Anna Karenina द्वारा Leo Tolstoy
This is probably a challenge for a lot of people, but it's one of the most amazing पुस्तकें I have ever read. I tackled this one over a क्रिस्मस break and finished in a little over a week. It's a good book to go for when आप have a long stretch of time to devote to it.

3. Inheritance series द्वारा Christopher Paolini
(Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr) This is a good chance to catch up before the 4th book comes out. (Anyone know when that is, btw?) People may laugh at this pick, but the पुस्तकें are very easy reads and pretty addicting. You'll get into them quickly which is perfect for the holidays. आप want to relax after all!

4. 1984 द्वारा George Orwell
If you've been putting it off, now's your chance to read this timeless classic!

5. Watership Down द्वारा Richard Adams
I know a book about rabbits on a quest sounds ridiculous but this book is completely wonderful. You'll get through it in no time.

6. Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales
This book looks intimidating, but each of the stories are very short and they are magical. आप will प्यार this. Plus, you've got time to kill ;)

7. Lord of the Rings द्वारा J.R.R. Tolkien
Now, I understand that this task is a little overwhelming, but at least try to finish one of these 3 पुस्तकें over break. I promise it's still good even if आप spread it out. Tackle one this break, another in the spring and the last one over the summer.

8. The Girl of the Limberlost द्वारा Gene Stratton Porter
I completely loved this book when I was 15. It's a beautiful story. It has little to do with vacation, but it's a thick book, though a quick read once आप get into it.

9. Birth of Venus द्वारा Sarah Dunant
If आप like historical fiction, this one was very surprising to me in a good way. I usually don't go straight for the bestsellers, I'm और of a classics girl, but I'd say this is a good vacation book.

10. The Last Wife of Henry VIII द्वारा Carolly Erickson
Another historical fiction. I learned a lot about English history and about Henry VIII and his many wives. The पुस्तकें starts when he's still married to his first wife. I read this book literally from cover to cover without setting it down. A great fast read.

So there आप have it. This is not a सूची of my प्रिय पुस्तकें (though many do fit into that category) but instead a true सूची of पुस्तकें I think आप will find very enjoyable over vacation. So challenge yourself and read as many as possible या even just one! Let me know what आप think, I'd प्यार to hear comments.

I'm not going to tell आप my age cause you'll all just say it's good for my age but my age on my फैन्पॉप page isn't my real one. I just want your opinion on it.

Maddie kept her eyes shut, she felt sick with horrer and the fear of her friends' lifes was so strong.
"Maddie?" Vita's voice sounded week and unstable as if she had been suffering a terrible attack.
"Vita? Are आप ok? Where's the others? Do आप have the page?" Maddie's voice was urgent and quick as if she had too much to say and not enough time to say it.

I've got to go now, but is that good =]
Synopsis:
Clay Jensen returns घर from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded द्वारा Hannah Baker–his classmate and crush–who committed suicide two weeks earlier.

On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.

Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, debut लेखक नीलकंठ, जय, जे Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.
Advance Readers' Copies -- one of the many benefits of working at a bookstore. For those who might not know what that phrase refers to though, it means I (and other booksellers) are invited, even encouraged, to read advance copies of पुस्तकें before they are officially released to the public. In this world of thousands upon thousands of books, publishers often send out a free copy in hopes that a particularly enthusiastic recipient will personally promote the work to his या her customers, and thus increase sales exponentally.

Here are a few पुस्तकें that I have read in galley form (another phrase...
