Brennan stared blankly at Booth. He had just spilled his soul to her, and she had no response. How could she tell him that she knew everything he had told her and had decided to be angry instead of happy? How could she say that it wasn't the remembering that hurt, but the forgetting? That even when he had started to seem like normal, that one moment, that one sentence popped into her head and hurt her so bad she became dizzy? She couldn't tell him that, no matter how much she wanted to. Booth would try to make it up to her, he'd give up his side of their arguments, he'd pay when they went out to eat. He'd do everything in his power and it wouldn't change anything, not really.
But Booth was sitting there, in front of her, waiting for a response. He looked a lot like Parker, actually. He had his head down, but he kept looking to the side, like he was in a timeout and he wanted some sort of human communication to pass the time.I wonder if he's talked to Parker. या maybe he told Rebecca to just keep him until he got better. No, Booth loves Parker too much. He'd die for him. But maybe that's not Booth's way of दिखा रहा है affection, I mean he took a bullet for me, he's risked his life for me countless times. He's just my partner, most of the time. What about Christmas? That was definately not like चुंबन my brother, it was like kissing...well Booth. Almost like having an affair, a forbidden प्यार full of passion. But Booth isn't forbidden, he's right here in front of me. And would it be that bad if we had a relationship? He and Cam had one, so did Angela and Hodgins. So why does it feel like it would be different if it were us? We're और likely to succeed as a couple than him and Cam. Cam is too, I don't know, her दिल and her brain are all jumbled. It's like she has two completely different sides to her. Wait a second, what was I talking about? How did this get to being Cam's fault?
"Bones?" Booth asked in a small voice. His head had barely moved, but his eyes were looking intently at her, like he was worried.
"Hmm? Oh, sorry. I was just thinking. Er, Booth, I was wondering. Did आप tell Parker about your surgery?" She didn't particularly want to get into apologies and why she was so angry, so she went for a सुरक्षित topic.
"No, I figured द्वारा the time I saw him अगला I'd be out of the hospital and stuff, so he didn't need to worry."
"Oh..." she replied. "Why did आप tell me to have your child? Before the surgery आप pulled me aside and-"
"Bones. I, umm, I wanted आप to have something of me if I didn't make it..." he trailed off. Why is she asking all the questions? I feel like I'm on Jeopardy. I wonder what I'll win after it's over.
"Booth? What was your dream about? It's just, while आप were sleeping I had a sudden inspiration. I thought maybe I could tell आप it, but I don't think you'd be interested..." she कहा nervously. She was testing the water, seeing if she'd sink once she stepped in. I really don't understand that. I'm on land, the only water in this room is that water bottle on my coffee table.
Booth smiled, "You and I owned a club. Sweets as the bartender, Hodgins some looney writer, आप know everybody was a different person, essentially. Somebody had killed this guy and everybody at the club was under investigation. Turned out that my brother'd done it, and all our employees had thought we had, so they tried to cover it up. It was just, so realistic, in a dream way. We were married, too. Madly in love."
Brennan looked at him, shocked, "Did आप read my story? I always erase it afterward, but I suppose someone could have copied it and sent it to you, but it's not likely."
"What? No, why?"
"That is exactly what my story was about. I could recite it word for word, right now,it was so vivid.
