Arc One: Aizen: The Beginning of the End

The beginning of this RP accounts for Aizen's disappearance from the Maggot's Nest and back to Hueco Mundo. Sosuke Aizen is planning to take over the Soul Society once more, by creating another Arrancar army. In reality, his goal is to steal the Ouken and use it to achieve passage into the Soul-King's dimension. Once again, the Soul Society are destined to try and stop him, lead by Captain-Commander Hitsugaya and the other 12 Captains. The appearance of a strange man, who saved a Seated officer, was to be their salvation... He was powerful, enough so to kill an Arrancar and then, later, an Espada. But, they learned that the name of his Zanpakuto was akin to that of a God.

Arc Two: Soul Society: The God's Realm.

The second is about the pseudo-shinigami, women and men with powers similar to Raijin's, where they each possess the capability of using these 'God-like' powers. Unfortunately, their existence has attracted the attention of a group of 'Radical' Gods, that believe existence of the pseudo-shinigami is unwarranted and wish to cleanse the Universe of them. The Radicals are lead by Ajisukitakahikone, Raijin's God, and the reason for his Zanpakutou's existence; Ajisukitakahikone had spent so much of his life feeling unloved by his father and brother, that he and Takemikazuchi, his other brother, decided to form a group of Gods to rebel against the other Gods.

Arc Three: Aizen: Revenge.

Aizen is planning to destroy the Soul-King's dimension and eradicate the Soul Society from existence. Only Raijin Masamune, with the help of the Gotei 13, can stop this from happening. All of their efforts are now focused on apprehending and executing Sosuke Aizen for good. With the help of each of the divisions among the Gotei 13, everyone is now underway to learn more about Aizen's activities and find information taht will conclude what his plan to enter the Soul Society is.

Filler Arc: The Kasumioji clan are being manipulated from within by a man with a powerful intellect and a major hatred of the Shinigami from the Seireitei. While this is going on, the other noble houses are protecting the existence of the Diadem, a powerful artifact, that could possess the secret of Kido and knowledge of Futo Minoriko, the first person to develop Kido. Together these two occurences will shape a new destiny for the Soul Society.

[Just to make a note, but the Third Arc will be Aizen's dramatic return... It will be called Aizen: Revenge Arc. Should be interesting. XD]

1. In a battle, there are to be no cheap shots that result in a one-hit kill.

2. No ridiculous over-powering of characters and abilities, otherwise there is no point in having a fair RP.

3. Play fair.

4. If you want to be a Visored, then you really have to spin me an exceptionally good story of how it occured and it really has to believable, otherwise I'll tell you to get naffed.

5. If you want to leave the RP for good, or you anticipate being away for a few days, try and work it into the story.

6. Follow my rules, otherwise I'll ask you to leave.

7. No trolls! I hate people who go on forums just make a nuisance of themselves. If you do that on here, I'll get rather annoyed and ask you UNKINDLY to leave.

8. If someone is going to be away for more than two days and cannot post, then we skip their turn and they get to post on their next turn. This is to make sure the forum doesn't get held up too much. We still have a fair bit of stuff to cover and I'd appreciate some good stuff coming in consistently XD. But, seriously, this will help keep the forum up and running. Cheers everyone :)

9. Listen to Whiteflame, he's the most experienced at RPing on here.

10. If you wish to join, don't just start posting on here. Ask first, then post your character onto 'New Characters for the Clan War' forum.

This is the Posting Order:

@Wantadog. Lol!!! Shuuhei gets the short end of the stick, eh?

(Note, I think I'll retract any further statements of my insanity)

Bp: Now that I'm a soul, I get a cooler Zanpakuto and I get to be a Shinigami. I'll show those bastards!!!

Brain: Maybe we should think this over before we act hastily...

Bp: Hmmm, I guess it couldn't hurt.

Common sense: Sometimes its better not to listen to yourself.

Bp: Hey, shut up! I give good advice.

Common sense: Then why are you still listening to me?

Bp: Anyway, brain, I think I'll just do my own thing.

[Turmoil of the Heart]

(Ajisukitakahikone avoided the oncoming blow from Shenlong's tail and spun around, in a vicious attempt to counter the remainder of the blow. Shenlong make it evenj more difficult for him, pirouetting and swinging the tail away and bringing it crashing around again, narrowly missing A-kone's head.)

Shenlong: I have to ask, but what is it about your brother, the infamous Takemikazuchi? He seems uninterested in the fighting going on...

A-kone: My brother is, how shall I put it, not as determined as the rest of us are. He simply follows us out of love for me.

Shenlong: So you misled him into thinking that your goals were worth as much as his love for you? What a heartless bastard you are!

A-kone: How typical of a 'cavalier', like yourself. So you seek to demean me? I have no part to play for Take's decision... He made it on his own and I merely supported him, even though I never really wanted to get him involved in this. It was most unfortunate, as he would never have been shown love by Father, that he had to make that decision. Get off your high horse. You just cut yourself with the same knife. If I have no right to destroy the 'pseudo-shinigamis', then what right have you to intervene. Don't mistake me, Shenlong, I will not give in to someone like you. Your incessant blathering has finally gotten on my nerves.

(A-kone disappeared instantly, moving between Shenlong's attacks and struck him a glancing blow with the blunt end of his sword, then he kicked the older man backwards, making sure to avoid him hitting Themis and Take. Shenlong reppeared in his dragon form again, and swung his tail again, knocking A-kone backwards. A-kone vanished and powered up, his power crackling around him, like innate electricity. Then his form began to change abruptly, his arms lengthening and and claws forming from his hands; horns grew out of his head and his face became wolf-like, with snapping jaws and fierce orange eyes. A-kone dropped onto all fours and growled viciously at Shenlong, his noise causing a shockwave of lightning energy and A-kone's own energy to blast into Shenlong.)

Shenlong, puffing: Interesting form you have taken... a thunder wolf. Still, it makes no difference, I will defeat you and then destroy your goal.

A-kone: You're wrong! It makes all the difference... I'll rip you apart and devour you!

Take: My brother has changed forms. This may result in a serious injury for your friend, there. Maybe you should assist him.

Themis: I'd be no use. Both seem to be able to fight, without having any semblance of balance whatsoever... Besides, we haven't resolved our idea of balance, yet, have we?

Take: I guess not. That's fine with me.

Themis: You realise that your brother is misleading you, right?

Take: How so?

Themis: He doesn't care about your feelings and he doesn't love you. I know you love him, but you will just end up hurt, while he gets his just desserts. Don't you want to know the feeling of love and of friendship?

Take: Akkie is the closest thing I have in this world... Kaminari has given up on us, and Father never loved me, nor showed any affection for me. I'm afraid I cannot let your words hurt me.

Themis: I'm not trying to hurt you, I'm trying to help you. If you joined us, you'd know the benefits of what I spoke of before.

Take: Sorry, but I'm going to have to stop you there... I don't want to hear any more.

Themis: You utter fool! If you simply won't listen to reason, then I'll have to end your life, in order to maintain balance. You and your heartless brother threaten that balance. I cannot let you away with it.

(Themis' power rose exponentially, her quiet fury consuming her body and the scales reflecting the blueish light. She leapt at Take, knocking him through the air and sending him flying into an ancient building, that crumbled around him.)

-Back to Shenlong and Ajisukitakahikone-

Shenlong: Perhaps, if your brother is that loyal to you, then I have other plans for him.

(Shenlong disappeared, intervening between Themis and Take.)

Shenlong: This has gone on long enough. I will show how you how a true god handles a fight, Themis.

Themis: Wait! This is my fight.

Take: I have no reason to attack you, old man. I'll simply defend myself, but I refuse to attack in earnest.

Shenlong: Let's see how much your brother really cares for you...

(Shenlong attacks Take with his tail, knocking him back into the wall, then pounces, holding his long, sharp claws at Take's throat.)

Shenlong: I'll kill him if you don't abandon your mission, Thunder God.

A-kone: You bastard! Get away from my brother.

Shenlong: Say it. Say you'll give up your ridiculous notion of destroying the pseudo-shinigami. Otherwise, you'll lose your brother. Tell me, what is more important to you?

(A-kone narrowed his eyes, and vanished, his wolf form assisting his speed and maneuverability, and he managed to appear right beside Shenlong.)

A-kone: Get your filthy claws away from him, now! Take is the only thing I have in this world, but I can't give up my goal, either. I have no choice, but to simply keep you from harming my only two prides in this world.

Shenlong grinned: How unfortunate for you...

(Shenlong lunged at A-kone, but feinted and knocked the younger God backwards, then disappeared, appearing in front of Take again, who hadn't moved. Shenlong shrugged apologetically to the other God.)

Shenlong: Sorry, Takemikazuchi, but this is necessary to thwart your brother. Goodbye.

(Shenlong swiped his claws across Take's throat, as A-kone appeared once more. It was too late. Take sprawled backwards, his head cruelly separated from his body and blood collecting beneath. Beyond the body, a heart-rending cry of despair issued, as brutal reality dawned upon A-kone.)

(The enraged God, brutally flung himself at the elder God, catching him by surprise, as he viewed the dead body of Takemikazuchi. Shenlong was flung backwards, but already A-kone had created a massive web of energy, which Shenlong was caught in. A-kone flashed next to him and began to pummel him with his clawed arms, that were more like legs. Blood began to flow openly from Shenlong's mouth, as he bore witness to A-kone's rage.)

Shenlong: S-stop this! Y-you fool, you only demean yourself f-f-further...

(Finally, A-kone stopped and allowed Shenlong to try and extract himself from the web. It was already too late, A-kone sent thousands of lightning bolts at the elder God, causing a humongous explosion.)

-To Be Continued-

-(N.b. If I portrayed Shenlong, Exorcist, let me know and I'll provide some editing.)-

Heh, thanks.

(I did too - it was kinda saddening having to kill him off... I didn't even know I was going to and then it just clicked. Lol.)

That was a great post, though it's too bad that Themis and Take won't get to finish their fight. Admittedly, he wasn't the one I envisioned her fighting in the first place, but it turned out to be a pretty interesting matchup.

--[Bukimi's Will Shines]--

In the next room over Isaac can still hear Bukimi and Makoto still clashing swords. They have been fighting for 2 hours non stop now, and show no signs of slowing down.

Isaac: “Set is giving it everything he's got, but my question is, is there really any winning for Makoto? Will he have to cut Bukimi down to stop Set? I really hope not, that would pose problems for him, it would leave him feeling guilty.”

He placed his hand on the black sand wall. Quckley after he placed his hand he took it away, the very touch of the sand appeared to cut his hand open.

Isaac: “Darn it! This sand is part of Sets spiritual pressure, even these grains of sand reflect his intent to kill. How the heck can I get out of this room?”

--(Flashes Over To Makoto And Bukimi)--

Bukimi (Set): “Prepear yourself boy, I'm sure you will remember this technique very well.”

The base of the black version of Bukimis Zanpakuto's center is now turning red, Makoto knew what technique was being used. The skill was known as Kaosubureido. Bukimi practiced this technique for month and finaly mastered it to it's full extent. But now Makoto knows he must fight up against it.

Makoto yells: “How dare you use her Zanpakuto against me!”

Bukimi (Set) replys: “If you have time to shout, you have time to fight, boy. I am going to rip you open, and cut your heart out, and I'll do it with this womans blade.”

Without another word Set charges at Makoto with full speed. Set swung Bukimis Zanpakutos quite fiercley repeatedly towards Makoto. Makoto attempted to block some of the blows, but each blow was pushing him back further and further until his back hit the walls. Set began to laugh insanley as he kept on slashing at Makotos defence and noticed that he backed him into a corner.

Bukimi (Set) continuously slashing at Makoto with brute force: “I've got you backed into a corner effortlessly, and you call yourself a Pseudo-Shinigami!”

Makoto attempting to parry against all of the blows: “Egh, I don't...care how strong you appear to be! I will defeat you Set!”

Makoto quickley jumped into the air, thus enableing his passive skills. In a blink of an eye Makoto disarmed Set and both of Bukimi's swords fell into the sand. However, this was a mistake.

Bukimi (Set): “Quite impressive speed you have in the air, but you are a fool boy.”

Set raised Bukimis hand and the sand surrounding the black Zanpakuto began to swirl around it. Again, a Ebon-Sand Demon was created, it looks exactly the same as the last one.

Bukimi (Set): “You should have known all along that I posses abillitys over the sand. I've even gave you a preview to this technique. But this time, there is no hope for you. Sick em Demon!”

Makoto evaded the Demon again and again, it was very powerful, but it's speed was rather sluggish compared to the high speed of Makoto's manifestation.

--(Meanwhile In Bukimi's Inner World)--

She had been concentrating for hours on end. She began to hear a sound, it sounded similar to chanting. The chanting began to get louder as she caught a glimps of a being made of only light. As she glanced at it, her inner world started vibrating.

Konton no hakobi-te said in releif: “She's done it.”

Bukimi stood up all of the sudden: “I understand now.”

Konton no hakobi-te asks: “Understand what Bukimi?”

Bukimi replys: “I understand how he possesed me, and how I came to be born with Set's spirit inside me. I saw this great being of light, and the very sight of it overwhelmed me with good feeling, it also somehow sent me images of how I came to be who I am today... I also found out that, I can force Set to succumb to my will.”

Konton no hakobi-te asks: “But how will you defeat Set Bukimi? Do you know a way?”

Bukimi replys: “I believe I do. The images that the light entitty sent me were very clear. All I have to do is stand up to him, because here in my Inner World, I am the Queen.”

Konton no hakobi-te turns around: “Well, in that case, I'll take you to him, he's in the center of this Pyramid.”

Bukimi and Konton go inside the black pyramid and head for the center. They walked for a little without exchanging words.

Konton no hakobi-te glanced at Bukimi thinking: “(I've never seen her look so determined before. It almost feels as if the situation has changed, perhapse Set was able to posses her because of the state of mind she has been in for a while. It makes complete sence. Is it possible that all it would really take is a change in her mood for the better? We're about to find out).”

They entered the room direcly in the center of the pyramid to find Set sitting on a black throne with lavender seating.

Set: “So Bukimi..., you've decided to show yourself. I didn't expect you to come around to be honest, what is on your mind?”

Bukimi continues to walk towards Set with that determined look, this confuses Set a little.

Set: “Do you even hear me? Why do you continue to approach me?”

She continues to walk in Sets direction.

Set waves his hand and sends a massive amount of sand in her direction: “What do you hope to accomplish!?”

Bukimi waved her hand and the black sand went into another direction: “I've learned something Set. I am just as powerful as you. For I have noticed I can use manifestation all along, you just poisoned my mind to believe I could not because of your selfish ambition to kill Horus! Just remember now, anything you can do, I can also do, because I have your powers.”

Sets thoughts: “I was hoping that she'd never realise this truth. All of the Pseudo-Shinigami can use their gods powers directly once they have truley mastered it. That is why the gods want them dead so much, and now that Bukimi knows that she can be my equal, I'm going to have to kill her, and kill Horus with my own body.”

Set chuckled: “You sure are one cocky woman, you may have my powers, but I've had eons to master them, while you have only had a few days. Let's face it, it's hopless for you, for now I have to kill you since you know so much.”

Bukimi stared right into Set's eyes: “I didn't have to master it Set. All I have to do is use....your memory!”

Set stood up in anger: “There's no way! How could you posses my memory!?”

Bukimi smirked: “I've spoken to the divine one, and it told me how to defeat you, and now, knowing all of your secrets, I don't think it will be that difficult.”

Set turned into sand and began to charge at Bukimi, but is stopped in his tracks by her hand.

Bukimi: “What was it that you said to Makoto? I believe you are the foolish one Set, you've turned into the same type of sand that we both can control, and now that you are, I can lock you away.”

Set yells: “Curse you human! The second I transform back into my actual being I'll-”

Bukimi interupts: “What makes you think that I'd let you transform back into your original form? This is my Inner World, I control everything in this space least you forget. You've made the mistake of deciding to live within me, just keep that in mind, here, I am the Queen!

Bukimi forcefully absorbed Sets energy into herself, Set begins howling in anger as he is being absorbed, at the same time all of the sand begins to regain its original color.

Bukimi says under her breath: “You may be a god, but you created me with your spiritual energy. I posses every ounce of spiritual energy that you do, and I always have, I just didn't know it before. After I learned this, I realised, we are the same entity, just with different personallitys. My question is, are all of the Pseudo-Shinigami like me? Are they all really just another form of their gods with their own personallity?

Konton no hakobi-te walked into the room: “Bukimi, I am proud of you. You have overcome Set, but he still will be able to talk to you, or even come out again if you put yourelf in a weak state of mind again. If he gives you a hard time, what will you do then Bukimi?”

Bukimi: “I won't let him effect me again. I promise, from this day forward, I will always keep a smile on my face, and leave a good impression on the people I meet. If I do keep myself in a good state, his hand will not ever reach me.”

Konton no hakobi-te closes his eyes and looks upward: “Good answer Bukimi, now you should go fix things in the outer world.”

Bukimi: “Before I go, I'd like to thank you for telling me about that divine light being, without that information, I'd never be able to do this.”

Konton no hakobi-te chuckled: “No problem Bukimi.”

--(Flashes Back To The Outer World)--
--(5 Minutes Earlier)--

Makoto plunged his hand into the sand demon forcefully and took the sword out of the Demon, causing it to fall apart. When he withdrew his hand it was covered in blood. Though he ignored the pain.

Bukimi (Set): “Hado # 4, Byakurai.”

The pich black beam emmits from Bukimis fingers. Makoto deflects it with Bukimis black Zanpakuto.

Bukimi (Set) turns into sand and rushes towards Makoto: “Just die you pathetic mortal!”

Makoto is hit pretty hard putting him to the ground again. As Set slashed towards Makoto, he guarded with the black version of Konton no hakobi-te.

--(Play Music)--

Makoto whispered himself: “I can't just keep defending, I'm sorry Bukimi, I'm going to have to fight back...”

Makoto struck back at Set and he defended with the single white Zanpakuto. He stuck Bukimis hand out and summoned the other Zanpakuto back to him. Makoto got back to his feet and flew towards Set with impressive speed. They clashed blades again and again, every now and then cutting eachother.

Bukimi (Set) spitting up a little blood: “I see I've finaly gotten you to draw your fangs. Reminds me of that old saying, "the cornered rat bites the cat".”

Makoto replys while also spitting up blood a little: “Shut up!”

Makoto flexed his wings and he began to glow a little, he has just enabled Supidosesshon, a skill that multiplys his speed by 3 for a minute. He persistantly flew and struck at Set, but set countered with Sandotsuisuta, spinning around creating a sand twister, causing Makoto to back off.

Makoto: “Darn it, it's like he's always two steps ahead of me! Wait, I got it!”

He dove into the sand twister with his wings covering him like a shield.

Makoto got in Bukimi (Sets) face: “Why hello there!”

He kicks Set out of the twister causing the sand to fall. Both of them now are having a stand off, they both feel drained of energy. All of the sudden, Set gets Bukimis body to flail in Makotos direction, swinging both swords in random direction, it would appear that Set is getting desprate.

Bukimi (Set) still flailing around, dropping black sand in the process: “I am going to reap the very life away from you fool! There is no hope for you any longer! Until this point i've been taking it easy on you. Feel the full force of my power mortal!”

Set began using overwhelming force against makoto, rapidly using Kido spells as he's slashing around. The very ground itself started shacking from all of the explosions. Makoto used his otherworldly speed to avoid all of the Kido spells and defended with the black version of Sukai no hogo-sha.

Makoto's thoughts: “(He's getting careless, It seems that he has abandoned all defence! He is going to wear her body out!!)”

Bukimi (Set) persisting Makoto: “Guwaahahahahah! That's right keep running child. You won't be able to run forever!”

Makoto replys: “Well, you won't be able to persist me forever!”

Bukimi (Set) laughing insanley: “Well, is that right mortal? I am going to destroy you and Horus with this next attack! The room will be flooded by my sharp grains of Ebon-Sand, and everything will turn to darkness!”

Set gets Bukimi's body to spin in circles with unbelievable speed, the dark sand now begins to flood the room as if it were water.

Makoto panicing: “(I'd better do something quick!)”

As Makoto zooms in to try to stop Set's technique, Set lets go of Bukimis black Zanpakuto, creating yet another Sand-Demon.

Bukimi (Set) still flooding the room with black sand: “I told you I would not make this easy on you, just exept your defeat!”

The room is about halfway flooded with sand, there is almost enough sand for Makoto to sink fully into. Makoto begins to fly higher and touches the roof.

Makoto panicing: “(Oh no what do I do!?)”

All of the sudden, Makoto hears the voice of Horus.

Horus: “Set plays dirty as you can see. But there is a way to overcome him. Let me entrust you with all of my power, and together we shall win.”

Makoto: “All right Horus. I trust you completley, I will use both of our powers to stop him....even if it means destroying Bukimi....”

Makotos spiritual pressure spiked, causing the ground around to rumble. The Sand-Demon ran up to him, but then was split apart by the mixture of Horus's and Makoto's spiritual pressure. Then after, the sand spiral was also cut in half, stopping the possesed Bukimi in her tracks.

Bukimi (Set) yells: “What's this!? His spiritual pressure just split my techniques!!!? No....wait a second! Horus and him are working together, he has the strength of a god and a half, Nooooo!”

Set lunges Bukimis body towards Makoto for the final time, and is stopped dead in his tracks by Makoto/Horus's wings. A spiritual explosion occured sending Set backwards.

Makoto appeard in front of Set: “Bakudo 61, Rikujokoro.”

Six thin white beams of light slamed into Set, rendering him useless.

Makoto: “It's over Set, I doubt even you can break this technique with your current spiritual pressure.”

Bukimi (Set) thinks: “(This mortal and Horus both together casted this Bakudo onto me!? That would mean, I'd need more power than the both of them combined to escape! This is, an outrage! I am a God!)”

After a little while Set stopped resisting the Bakudo. Set looked down with the look of dissapointment on himself.

Bukimi (Set): “Who knew that...this would be the way it ends..., being felled by the embodyment of the very being I swore I would kill... This is, deplorable...”

--(Now Up To Current Time)--
--(Stop Music)--

Sets spiritual pressure has died down alot, and Bukimi's head has now slumped over. It would seem that Set is no longer in control. She slowly raised her head, and at that second, Makoto knew, Set had truley been defeated.

Makoto runs up to her: “Bukimi!”

Bukimi softly said: “Kiyoshi...I...I'm sorry, I just lost control for a little while... It's my fault, I was...., to weak....”

Makoto stopped her from talking by hugging her and softly saying: “It was not your fault Bukimi, and I'm sorry too, for cutting up your body.”

Bukimi cried a little: “It's okay Kiyoshi..., don't worry about it..., I'm just happy that you stayed alive..”

Bukimi kindly smiled as she hugged him back: “We should get out of here.”

Makoto nodded and removed the Bakudo from Bukimi. The walked towards the blocked door, then Bukimi sealed her Zanpakuto to removed all the extra sand, revealing Isaac sitting in the next room over.

Isaac looked over at them: “So, it's over, huh?”

Bukimi giggled: “Looks like it Isaac.”

Isaac: “Well it's about time, you can't imagine all of the fun things i've done in here. You know, like throwing sand at the wall, rolling in sand, sticking my hand into err, I don't know, SAND? I've been stranded in here for hours, let's leave this place already, and prey we don't find another god forsaken desert!”

Bukimi kindley smiled: “I'm sorry about that Isaac. I know you've been in here for hours, and I know you want to leave. So let's just do that.”

Isaac raised his eyebrow: “You know, ever since you and him came out of there, you've been very odd Bukimi. I don't really ever recall you smiling so much.”

Bukimi: “I've decided I wanted to change on the inside, so I have.”

Makoto: “Let's get away from here guys, we've got bigger fish to fry now.”

Bukimi smiles: “Yeah true, now that the matter with my god has been settled, we need to deal with the other gods.”

They now have left the Black Pyramid and are determining their next destination.

Isaac says: “I think we should travel east. I sence another spiritual pressure in that direction-”

Bukimi interupts: “-Oh no you don't, it was you that lead us here in the first place. I'm not taking any chanced, nuh uh, no way! I'm not going to be possesed by some voodoo demon next!”

Isaac: “Voodoo Demon? What the heck are you talking about?”

Bukimi smiles and says: “I just feel like, we should let someone else handle the destinations this time. May I have a turn?”

Makoto chuckles: “I won't argue with that idea, sure Bukimi.”

Isaac folds his arms and says: “Whatever, but If we approach another desert with your leadership, I'm going to eat sand!”

The three of them started laughing and then after embarked to their next destination. Bukimi leaded the group north, and in that direction they can begin to sence a very powerful Spiritual Pressure. It was indeed one of the Elder Gods, but the identity of him/her has not yet been determined. They recovered their wounds with Kido and begin to head further north to encounter this ancient god.

@Wantadog... Lol. Just... lol. And, yes, it is Zord's turn.

@Whiteflame, thanks dude. Heh, I see your point, but yeah, it did turn out to be an interesting match-up on their part. And, your right, it is too bad that they won't be able to finish their fight, but now A-kone and Shenlong will have an interesting. I guess Shenlong might feel a little bad, considering how much Take actually meant to A-kone. Lol. I can't wait till it's Exorcist's response.

Whiteflame watched the exchange, shaking his head.

Whiteflame: Well, at least I don’t have to worry about dead gods, yet.

Morrigan: WHAT WAS THAT!?

Whiteflame: Nothing, nothing!

Themis: It would make the most sense. One of the Radicals died, it stands to reason that the next death will be one of our own.

Whiteflame shushed her: Shut up! *waves disarmingly at Morrigan* That’s not in the plans, don’t worry!

Morrigan fingered her blade, looking at him uneasily.

Themis: Sure, it’s not like you have a history of killing off characters suddenly or anything.

Ghost of Huabu: At least your death may enhance balance!

Themis: Who are you?

Ghost of Huabu sniffed: I was an Espada at the beginning of Fallout. Then HE *points at Whiteflame* killed me off in the first battle.

Whiteflame rubs his head: Hey, that was a long time ago. I’d never do that n-

Ghost of Acelin: Let me stop you right there.

Whiteflame covers his face with his hand: Oh god.

Ghost of Acelin: And I suppose my death was all too reasonable? Not like it was my first time in the field of combat… OH WAIT! IT WAS!

Whiteflame: Ixne on the eathde!

Ghost of Acelin: Damnit, are you speaking in Pig Latin again? I swear, I’m going to kill you so hard this time.

Acelin advanced on him, and Whiteflame backed away nervously, bumping into someone he didn’t see behind him.

Ghost of Isao: At least none of you were central characters. I was the goddamn Captain Commander back in the Fallout days, and yet I couldn’t even kill the head Espada.

Whiteflame spun around, sweat pouring down his forehead.

Ghost of Isao cracked his knuckles: You tried to end that series to get away from me. Not going to happen.

All three advanced on him.

Whiteflame: N-n-now guys! This isn’t the time to-

Morrigan burst in front of them, baring her steel at each of them. They all backed up a step, nervous of the god’s power.

Morrigan: No one touches him!

Whiteflame looked relieved, reaching forward to put a hand on her shoulder. She shoved it off, putting her blade to his throat.

Morrigan: …Not till I put a stop to this killing off nonsense, once and for all. You can have the remains.

Got a long one today, all god-focused. Hope you guys like it!

The man who arrived was of a very different sort from the one Pele had met before. A tall one and bulging with muscles, Ganesha was almost comically proportioned, with a nose and ears far too large for his face. The strange bluish-black color of his skin gave her the impression that he was little more than a giant bruise. But in the end, it didn’t matter. He was taking her to the same place.

Once again, only her sister had sought to escort her. Pele had never hated her so much in her whole life. Their disagreements of the past seemed as nothing now. No, things would never be the same.

It was because of her that she had lost flavor, lost color, lost vivacity.

After the pain of what they’d done to her had subsided, she had arisen feeling as though she had been flayed from head to toe. Her skin was tender to the touch, her muscles raw and burning. When she looked into the mirror, a pale stranger looked back at her. Her once vibrant skin was bleached practically white, though spots of color were bleeding back into it. Her clothing seemed almost repellant to color, turned black as pitch. Her flowers, both those about her head and bodice, were pitiable, dying things, just as she felt she had become. Only her hair, a fiery red, and the glowing red gems on her clothing had retained their luster.

She hadn’t cried then, and she wouldn’t cry now. No, they would not see her cry.

Ganesha: I received the owl you sent. Are you the only one that’s decided to join us?

Pele frowned: Unfortunately. My kinsmen are determined to shut out the world. Even my beloved sister.

She gave Nimue a sidelong glance. Her sister kept her eyes on their visitor, whom she had shown no liking to since his arrival. She had never met Shenlong, but he would have been all the more unnerving. This one seemed distracted, but the former had come here with a strong sense of purpose. That’s a big part of what had drawn her in. Not so for the elders. Her hands tightened into fists as she thought of them. When she spoke again, she let her fury mar her voice.

Pele: I can’t stand to be here another moment.

She took a step forward and Nimue reached an arm out to her. Furiously, Pele swiped behind her with her arm, neatly cleaving off her sister’s arm with an ashen swipe. Oh how she screamed. Pele kept striding forward, a malicious smile on her face. Ganesha seemed roused from his strange stupor by her cries, and led the way to the door. Pele turned around at the door, looking with unconcealed satisfaction into the eyes of her bewildered sister.

Nimue: But…how? We stripped you of your powers!

Pele’s smile broadened: All you have managed to do is seal the magma beneath a caldera. You seal yourselves away in your halls of fallacious security, so none of you have learned the lessons of Krakatoa, Vesuvius, or St. Helens. More fool you.

Pele turned away but hesitated. Nimue held her truncated arm limply, more dazed and confused than hurt.

Pele: I will make sure the world does not forget us, dear sister. And when I have accomplished my goal, I will return…

The last words she said before entering the door were barely a whisper, but they could be heard all across the room.

Pele: …to remove the rotted limbs of our family tree.

Themis stared down at her fallen opponent, emotions unreadable. In truth, she was incredibly conflicted.

Here she was, staring at a fallen opponent, someone whose stated goal had been one of chaos. She knew that. When she’d sought to form this group with Athena’s help, she had known that she would have to fight other gods, that gods would die. She hadn’t shied away from it then.

Yet, staring at Take’s corpse gave her reservations. Their mission was just, she had no compunctions about protecting the pseudoshinigami. But what cost would it bring? Who else would be lost in the milieu? How much harm would it bring, not just to their ranks but to the world at large? Gods of all sorts would be destroyed, the elements themselves disrupted. Was she ready to bear that responsibility?

It was not the first time gods had warred, nor would it be the last. It was a part of the great balance of the world. What damage their deaths would cause would be righted in time – the gods were only controlling mechanisms, like a floodgate in a dam allowing only a certain amount of water through. The elements could control themselves if need be.

Still, as the blood of the godly being before her spilled onto the ground, she experienced her first regrets. The effects of his death were one thing, but could she not even control the balance in a single battle? Take had been one of the few gods who could truly understand her search for balance and he had acquiesced to her desires. Yet still, when Shenlong intervened, the balance was disrupted. And she had done nothing to prevent it. She had seen the blue specter of his form as it landed between them, and while the other god was incredibly powerful, she could have done something . Anything.

She was beginning to wonder if their goal to protect the pseudoshinigami had become all consuming. Would nothing else remain sacred? How much would – no, could – they sacrifice for the sake of mortal beings whom foolish gods had chosen as their vessels?

She felt like Ganesha, asking all these questions. Perhaps, in his search for the elusive “truth,” he had found an answer to her question. She would have to ask him later.

As she looked at the battlefield, strewn with scorch marks from lightning strikes and huge sections of land cleaved away, she knew there was only one thing she could do now. Laying down her blade and scales, she knelt over the still bleeding corpse of her fallen foe. Themis didn’t know any prayers – gods didn’t pray, for there was no one to pray to above them – but words came to her as she eulogized the corpse of a god she had hardly known.

It was difficult not to feel some measure of desperation.

Normally, Morrigan only feigned the strange emotion, often in role playing sessions with her many partners. She had to keep it interesting, after all. True desperation, though, was something she had not felt in millennia.

But this fight had bred it in her. And now anxiety grew in her womb. She’d always hated children.

It had all started off so well. After all, it was easy to dominate any pairing when you were the one with all of the new moves. Ares had revealed everything to her when he was fighting her war-like side, so she used his movements against him. It had been effective for a while. She’d flayed the skin off of his upper left arm, given him several more puncture wounds, and scratched more wounds into him than either of them could count. He was a mottled mess of blood and tissue.

And yet, he had proven to have stamina unlike any partner she’d danced with. Every wound seemed to only increase his tenacity, and, though she was pained to admit it, she couldn’t keep up.

What’s more, he was adapting. He would now watch carefully to see where she touched him, noting when the string she attached to his body would change positions and responding in kind. He was much more careful not to let her blood touch him, most often blocking her sprays with his blade, which had allowed him to increase his strength and speed. Only a few remnants of silver steel reflected the sun beneath sheen of red that had all been hers. Perhaps if she’d been fighting this way from the start-

No. Much as she despised the other parts of herself, she knew well enough that the only way to fight this man on equal footing was with someone who wouldn’t give. It was true what they said – give a man an inch, and he’ll take a mile. And she’d had to give a lot of ground.

Despite her much more defensive efforts, Morrigan had suffered her own wounds. Her right arm hung limply from a biting sword wound, forcing her to shift control of the string over to her left. She was still coughing, unable to speak, after a particularly brutal strangling Ares had inflicted upon her. Normally, she was all for erotic asphyxia, but her opponent was not looking for a good time.

All the while, however, she had kept her sensual smile on his face. Perhaps, to some extent, she hoped to appeal to the male within all that blood and rage, but in reality it was her only armor. Without it, she was nothing.

Ares: I’ll tell you again: bring back the warrior.

Morrigan tried to laugh, but it only came out in a fit of choked spasms. Which of them took control wasn’t determined by any of the three. Her personalities took over randomly. But even if she could, she would not. At this point, Ares was as fast, if not faster, than Morrigan was in the air. If her war-like side was to engage him as she had before, fighting on his level, they would die in a matter of seconds.

Ares sighed: Then you’ll die.

His chain licked out at her. She dodged to her right, seeing too late that his blade was attached at a midpoint on the chain. She grimaced as the blade cut deep into her right side, only stopped from causing a fatal injury by a partially parrying the strike with one of her blades. Ares was on top of her before she could breathe, removing the blade and slamming it down on top of her repeatedly. She blocked with the only blade she could use. But without both arms, that defense would soon crumble. She could feel the bones in her hand, wrist, arm and shoulder begin to crack under the strain, her knees buckling beneath her.

And with each blow, Ares rang out another threat.

Ares: Themis will die next! Then Shenlong! Then the pseudoshinigami! I will bring a whole new age of war and chaos to this world! The Spartans will have been a faint dream compared to my wroth! All will know the name of the true god of war! And it shall be-

He cut off. Morrigan had dropped her blade before his last strike and then proceeded to catch it in her bare hand. It had still cut deep into the palm, covering the remainder of the naked blade in a sheen of red, but what was strange was that she could so easily stop it at all. Ares knew she was on her last legs.

The smile had vanished from her face the moment Ares said his line about war and chaos. It was replaced by a flat, expressionless visage. Or, at least, that’s how it seemed at first. When she raised her head, revealing once shadowed eyes, there was an unspeakable rage borne there.

Morrigan: You are a fool, Ares, to have provoked Death.

Ares smiled: You seem stronger than the others.

Morrigan: You have no idea.

A blow sent him reeling backward, surprise evident on his face. Morrigan rose to her feet, raising the cowl of her cloak as she flew towards him. To Ares, it seemed as though the Grim Reaper himself was charging, death in a billowing black mantle. Black met red, and the very air seemed to shatter with their blows.

(Never mind. I managed to speed it up.)

[Taming the Lion! Shiva VS Odin! The Battle Begins!]

Odin decided not to use god-step, and flew towards the Pseudo-Shinigami the old fashioned way. What did they think they were accomplishing? Did Shiva really think that choosing the time and location of their battle would give them enough of a shift to win? Leaving the stronghold would leave it completely unguarded, but he didn’t care about that. Attacking there would be a stupid idea for the non-radicals.

Odin landed in the area that he felt Shiva’s power and looked around. He saw a lone woman standing with her sword partially sheathed, staring at him. She had a calm and collected look. Odin began walking towards her. She was undoubtedly beautiful. She had short black hair, put up in a bun, she had striking blue eyes. Odin circled her and saw that she had the kanji for “Justice” written on her back. He stopped and stared at her. They were about 10 feet apart. “Who are you?”

Lushi: “I am Mishiranu Rikuo.”

Odin: “So you are Shiva’s chosen one? A little out of character, I must admit.”

Mishiranu(Lushi): “I am only here for your blood, nothing more, Odin.”

(Play music)

Odin opened his mouth to speak when he felt something below and looked down to see two shinigami shoot out of the ground on either side of him. The one on the left had his head engulfed in flames, and the one on the right was a woman with bright red hair. He heard another sound, this time from behind. He didn’t need to look to know what was there. It was a Cerberus. Odin jabbed his staff to the side, catching the robes of both shinigami. He then twisted in a circle, launching the man at the Cerberus and the woman at Mishiranu(Lushi). The woman was able to recover her balance, but the man hit the Cerberus head on. Odin turned from him and looked at Mishiranu(Lushi). “Is that all?” Suddenly he heard several roars as several Cerberus’ appeared around him, roaring. He looked and saw the red head was writing hieroglyphs into the air. So she was the one. He quickly used his staff to decapitate all of the Cerberus’ heads. He then began walking towards Bluebell, preparing to attack. Suddenly he found himself surrounded by several hundred skeleton soldiers. Kowareta was back up and ready to brawl.

Kowareta: “I’m not done yet! You’re gonna have to do better to keep me down!”

Odin: “I apologize, I will be sure to make certain of it.” He used his “Touch of Death” ability to destroy most of the skeleton’s. Since they were already dead, they just crumbled into dust. He then swung his staff around, destroying the remaining skeleton’s. He got Kowareta beneath the skin with another well placed jab from his staff. He turned towards Bluebell again, and once again, prepared to attack when Mishiranu(Lushi) Charged him. She attacked with a blow to his chest, which he blocked. Next, she went for his knees. He blocked that one too and swung his staff down on her head. Another skeleton soldier blocked the attack, and disappeared right after due to his Touch of Death ability. Kowareta flash-stepped behind Odin and fired one of his Cero-like blasts at Odin at point-blank range. Odin swung around, hitting the blast with the back of his hand, knocking hit towards Bluebell, who created a copy of the attack to negate it. Mishiranu(Lushi) took the opportunity to renew her assault on Odin.

Mishiranu(Lushi): Let them be governed by the almighty! Shang Shou Mingyun!” There was a dramatic rise in her reiatsu as she entered her shikai. When the reiatsu faded, she was revealed to be wielding a long hammer shaped like a gavel. She grinned and flash-stepped behind Odin, slashing at him. He blocked the blow easily. Bluebell created a clone of Mishiranu(Lushi) and charged Odin as well. Kowareta got up and attacked him. Odin blocked the crazy barrage of attacks from the four of them, his staff moving at an impossible pace. He slammed the top part of his staff into Bluebell’s head, knocking her to the ground. He then jabbed both of the Mishiranu‘s(Lushi) in the gut, sending them flying back. Lastly he blocked a blast from Kowareta and kicked him, knocking him at least a mile back. The three struggled up, and faced him again.

Odin: “Not worth my time. If this is all the Pseudo-Shinigami have, then there isn’t any point in you fighting.” As Odin said that he felt a powerful reiatsu and turned around to barely block and incoming attack from another woman. This one had short, black hair and blue eyes, like the other, but this one had a much fiercer look in her eyes. He barely had a moment to register her features as the force of her attack sent him flying back. Odin hit the ground and bounced, righting himself as he did, only to be attacked by the woman again, before he could fully recover. This woman was brutal and would not give an inch in battle. Comprehension dawned in his eyes as he was again forced back by a ferocious series of blows. This woman, not the other one, was Shiva’s chosen shinigami. They had tricked him, but why? What would they gain from it? The woman grinned and took one hand off of her blade, shoving her palm towards Odin.

Mishiranu: “Hado 73! Soren Sokatsui!” An extremely powerful blast of power shot into Odin’s face at point-blank. Odin was engulfed in a giant explosion. When the smoke cleared he saw the woman was 10 feet away, her sword held limp at her side, an evil grin on her face.

Odin: “You…who are you?”

Mishiranu: “Lushi told you. I am Mishiranu Rikuo, and I am here for your blood.”

Pretty badass ending, don’t ya think? Mishiranu shall now proceed to beat the pants off of Odin.

[Hasty Retreat]

Ajisukitakahikone watched the smoke clear and Shenlong re-emerge from it, his head bleeding and more wounds on the rest of his body. He was quite clearly puffing, but it didn't seem as though any of his power had receded. The God shouldn't be able to move after what A-kone had done to him, but that was how it was going to be.

Shenlong: That blast almost had me. You are just unlucky that I happen to be a God of Storms, of lightning and thunder, otherwise I'd be dead now.

Ajisukitakahikone: Tell me how you survived.

Shenlong: No point. You'll be history, soon enough.

A-kone: Yeah, I doubt that.

(A-kone changed his form again, becoming the wolf of lightning and he created another web around Shenlong, intending to seal him away, to give him enough time to retrieve Take's body and make a hasty retreat from this tomb. The plan went perfectly. A-kone had already sealed Shenlong with one web of lightning energy, so he began to form more strands of the energy around the web, until it was so large that it took up most of the massive room they were fighting in. A-kone disappeared, blinking in front of Themis, who was still eying Take's body with a strange look in her eyes.)

A-kone: So you regret his death now...?

Themis: He died... He died because of you!!!

A-kone: No. He died because your friend there decided that he didn't like what we are doing. Shenlong will get his comeuppance, next time. I'd destroy you, but I don't have the time and I don't see you as threat in the future. If I were you, I would think seriously about what is going to happen in that future.

Themis: You bastard. I will never stop seeking balance.

A-kone: Whatever.

(A-kone picked Take's body up, slung it over his shoulders and vanished. He flashed next to Ares, who was trying to stop the woman's attack. This time he was having a bit more trouble than he had appeared to during the fight earlier.)

A-kone: Finish it.

Ares: Give me time. I'm not done yet.

(A-kone snarled and struck Morrigan with a thunderbolt, knocking her backwards with an explosion. Ares turned around, a look of shock in his eyes.)

Ares: I would have destroyed her, you know that.

A-kone: I don't care. We need to get back. I must burn Take's body and allow his ashes to scatter into the horizon. Then we'll honour him in death. Let's go!

Ares: Fine.

(Both Gods made as if to God-step away, when A-kone sensed the presence of Izanami. He turned to try and find her, but couldn't see her. Then she suddenly appeared, as if right on cue, next to him.)

Izanami: I'll play with these three, while you two get away from here.

A-kone: There's no need.

Izanami: I don't care. I want some action.

A-kone: Fine. But don't miss Take's final moments as a part of this life, or you will regret it.

Izanami: Whatever. I'll be there, but don't expect anything else from me.

A-kone: I won't.

(Ares and A-kone disappeared)

Izanami: I'll take you three on!!!

I should have a post done by the end of the day (a long one to make up for my absence) and post it as soon as I can. On the bright side, I had a fun vacation :D

Bluebell: Oh look, he's back.

Shenlong: While you were out taking your sweet time, relaxing, I've achieved the unheard of feat of murdering a god. No thanks to you, that is.

Exorcist: Wow, congrats. You killed someone. Now, by the rule of karma, you're next.

Shenlong: Next for what?

Exorcist: Nothing, nothing. Fish?

Man my turns coming up pretty soon already, I'm still debating on what Elder God Bukimi Makoto and Isaac should go up against. Speaking of that, is there any Elder Gods avalible for them to fight?

I don't think so...
Odin and Izanami are fighting.
Ares and A-kone are heading to give Take a funeral.

Maybe Gaia? Was she radical or non-radical?

Non-radical. A new radical god would have to be introduced.

Zord was meant to be making a new Radical quite some time ago, but still hasn't, so I guess I'll just make one today then, and Fazoodle can use the new one.

@Thanks, Wantadog, and yeah, you seemed to have done him perfectly fine. XD

[Grim Objectives/ Playing with Fire/Hellfire Paradise]

“Shénlóng,” Themis began. “Perhaps you acted a bit drastically…”

Shénlóng raised his hand to cut her off, his eyes not leaving Izanami’s pale face.

“I respect your wish to have balance in everything, Themis, but do not be mistaken. You already know that the disastrous results of leaving these fools to do as they like will be far greater than anything we do to stop them. Our options are limited. If we plan on resorting to drastic measures in the end, why wait? If we reduce the collateral damage by acting drastically from the beginning, is it not to our advantage?”

Themis sighed. “I suppose.”

“That aside, we must finish here while we have the leisure.” Shénlóng glared at Izanami. Shénlóng glanced back at Morrigan, who stared back at him steadily in silence. “You seem to be more composed than before. How competent are you?”

“Decide that for yourself.” Morrigan replied dryly, lifting her bladed weapons up slightly. Izanami grinned sinisterly as Shénlóng crouched, scales forming across his bare skin, and Themis gripped her blade tightly as she, too, focused on Izanami.

“Prepare for a taste of hell, my ‘fellow’ gods.”

“To think such a simply trick would work on me.” Odin snorted as he turned to face Mishiranu. “I have no time for your games, wannabe Shiva. You psuedo-shinigami signed your death warrants when you came here.”

“Oh really?” Mishiranu smirked as she held her hand out. A long trident appeared in the air and she gripped it tightly. “Contrarily, I believe we set ourselves up for something you wouldn’t be leave. Care to find out what that is?”

“My pleasure.” Odin said as he appeared directly in front of Mishiranu, swinging his staff in a full arc at her. Mishiranu blocked with the side of her trident and grimaced at the force. For a god who used magic, his close combat skills were nothing to laugh at. Mishiranu continued to block the strikes from Odin again and again, trying to find a way to counter. But each strike left her arms numb.

Overwhelming. She thought to herself with a smile. But thanks to that, that leaves us hundreds of openings.

Odin’s staff smashed right through Mishiranu’s chest just then, but his one eye widened in surprise as no blood or flesh was seen. Just pure light festering where his strike had hit where the heart would have been.

“Whoa.” Mishiranu muttered as she gripped her hands around Odin’s staff tightly. “A fatal blow right off the bat. Bluebell wasn’t kidding when she said we couldn’t fight you head on.”

“A decoy.” Odin muttered darkly as several more Mishiranu appeared around him, tridents in hand. They aimed at Odin and fired blasts from the tips of the three prongs directly at the Norse god. The blast consumed the two completely, forcing the other three watching to shield their eyes from the light. When it faded, it showed Odin skidding out of it with a cloak of energy surrounding him. Mishiranu laid on the ground, most of her body completely blown apart. Only her upper torso remained. “I’m stronger than I thought. How did that guy get out unharmed?”

“Mishiranus, surround Odin again.” Bluebell called as the injured Mishiranu faded away into light. “Kowareta, do the same with your undead soldiers. Don’t give Odin a chance to rest.”

“Yelling out orders without any code where the enemy can hear?” Odin muttered as he looked around at the undead soldiers surrounding him, as well as the fake Mishiranus. “Not a very smart tactic.”

Odin raised his hand and black energy began to form in it, like condensed liquid in a sphere. He clenched his hand on the sphere and black spears sprouted from the black substance, lacerating the bodies of the surrounding undead soldiers and the Mishiranu. But each one undead soldier that survived fired soul blasts toward Odin along with the surviving Mishiranu, completely enveloping Odin once again in the forceful blasts. But the spears kept coming until they were all wiped out and the blasts ceased firing. The smoke cleared to so Odin still unharmed, thanks to his cloak of energy.

“Get him, dark eyes.” Bluebell said as she began drawing heiroglyphs in the air at a rapid pace. Kowareta charged forward on Cerberus’ back, yelling a battle cry excitedly. Odin swing his staff around to bat away Cerberus’ head, but the large dog dug one hand into the ground and vanished suddenly. Odin whirled around just as Cerberus pounced on his back, throwing him to the ground. Odin threw the dog off but Kowareta slammed on fist in Odin’s chest as hard as he could, to knock the wind out of the god. Odin barely grunted, as he swung his own fist out to knock Kowareta away. But Kowareta kicked up the ground beside him, messing up the ground and vanishing. Odin gritted his teeth as he whirled around once again, catching Kowareta’s fist and throwing him away forcefully.

“Order in the court!”

Odin pivoted once again, swinging his staff up to block Lushi’s gavel as she swung it down on him. The blow was weak, but Odin felt his armor of magic strip away from the energy she exuded in the blow, leaving his body vulnerable. Lushi’s gavel dissembled itself quickly, catching Odin around the neck and forcing him to the ground with a large blade looming over him.

“Don’t get so arrogant, psued-shinigami!” Odin roared as he released pounds of energy. “As if this could hold a god!”

The falling blade curved on its path before reaching Odin, due to the energy he released, and it knocked the guillotine off of Odin, freeing him. Odin clapped his hands together and hands made from shadows wrapped around Lush tightly. She cried out as the hands began to strangle and crush her ruthlessly, until she exploded from the pressure. Literally. Light flew everywhere, surrounding Odin completely. He clicked his tongue impatiently.

“How uninspiring.” He muttered. “You can’t hope to hit your mark if I simply exit the light…”

Odin did just so, forcing his way through the thick net of light surrounding him, bursting out of it easily. He was surprised, however, to find Bluebell directly in front of him, swinging her scepter around like a golf club. A blast of pure light fired from the tip, enveloping Odin completely with searing heat.

“You came out to far, almighty god!” Bluebell chuckled as she swung her scepter around again horizontally, sending another blast of light into Odin that sent him flying back. “Didn’t you notice when I stopped yelling my orders?”

“You’re another fake, aren’t you?” Odin muttered as he stood up. Dozens of Lushi, Kowareta, Mishiranu, and Bluebell stood around him in their manifestations. The Bluebell at the front shrugged.

“Well, aside from Mishiranu, you had seen us all standing right in front of you. But you probably lost track of which is real, and which is a fake long ago. Oh, and does this face look familiar?”

Bluebell began drawing in the air and an Odin replicate appeared out of the hieroglyph she drew, staff in hand. The real Odin’s one eye narrowed.

“Dangerous.” He muttered. “It’s worse than I imagined. Gods may be powerful, but they lack the creativity mortals have to use it to their full potential. In addition, we don’t even get along well. These pseudo-shinigami are the exact opposite.”

Odin clenched his staff and energy began to radiate from him powerfully, enough so that all of those surrounding him stumbled in surprise.

“This is no longer about vengeance.” He decided aloud. “You’re far too dangerous to leave alone. You may be nuisance now, but in a few years, you’ll be a danger to gods everywhere. I’ll put a stop to that before it escalates into a problem.”

“Oh, scary.” Mishiranu grinned nervously. Bluebell bowed her head politely.

“Let’s play a game, god.”
[Play music]
Anubis wasn’t used to being overwhelmed. In fact, he wasn’t used to any of this, despite the thousands of years he’s lived. The strange way the attacks from the two pseudo-shinigami flew at him was frustrating, above all. He’d tried to block one of the flaming spears that flew at him with his scepter, but the flames had completely changed direction and form, surrounding and engulfing him at once. The girl’s blades hanging from her ears had come in an infinite amount of barrages that were more intimidating when you tried to block them all. He hated to admit it, but if he wasn’t an all-powerful god, he’d probably be dead. The two psuedo-shinigami were both so random and instinctive, not even communicating verbally to execute their actions, and were so unpredictably direct, Anubis had problems countering at all.

But unluckily for them, he was an all-powerful god.

“Hellfire mantle!” Johan called as several of his spears impaled themselves in the ground around Anubis, pointed toward him diagonally. Flames spewed from them toward Anubis his bandages surrounded him to defend. Instead of hitting him, however, the flames spread around at a quick rate, spreading rapidly. The flames then hit one of the paint splotches hanging in midair and began to change into a multitude of colors, changing directions so erratically that it closed off Anubis’ escape roots.

“Hellfire inferno!” The strangely colored flames began to spin and swirl around into a large tower of rotating flames that engulfed Anubis completely, obscuring him from sight.

“Saisho Kaso.”

The ground beneath the inferno erupted into powerful flames that mixed into the inferno, spinning in the opposite direction freeing Anubis completely. His bandages shot from him once again, catching one of the sun spears and tossing it directly at Johan. Suddenly, blue fire from the 33rd hado sailed through the air and slammed into the spear, sending it in to the ground once again. Though the target clearly hadn’t been him, Anubis felt the force of the spell slam into his side as well, throwing him back.

“Accursed Eris.” Anubis growled as he jumped up once more. “You’re more obnoxious than Set or Shu!”

“More obnoxious than a set of shoes?” Cadence blinked in confusion. “Is that supposed to be some kind of insult?”

“It sounds like he was going for some kind of pun, I think.” Johan suggested. “Not a very clever one, though. Maybe its humor only a god can understand?”

On top of being obnoxious, the two of them were rude! Anubis could feel them eating away at his own pace. He should have had them mummified and six feet under by now.

“I got it!” Cadence exclaimed suddenly. “I remember where I’ve seen that dog face before! You’re ‘A-new-piss’!”

“Do you remember what weaknesses he has?” Johan pressed, eyes wide with hope. Cadence shook her head back and forth.

“Nope. Just the name.”

“Well, that’s a start I guess.”

I’ll kill these kids. The sole thought dominated Anubis’ mind in that exact second threatening to overwhelm in rational side.

“Saigo Kaso.” He swung his staff out and flames spew from the tip toward them. Johan noticed and reflexively snapped his fingers. The spears erupted into flames, jetting from the ground straight toward Anubis. Anubis’ bandages flew up and blocked the spears all at once, redirecting them away. Cadence held her hand up and summoned a barrier to block against the flames, shielding the two of them.

“Huelga del Meteorito!” Johan called. The sun above them seemed to begin to descend, flames flickering around it. By time Anubis could figure out that it was really just Johan’s sun disc, it was too late. The meteor slammed into the ground with enormous force, sending flames and ash everywhere. Several of the giant heads around them crumbled to pieces and blew away from the force of the blast, and the debris hung in the air like a thick fog, clouding their vision.

“Wow, that was a lot better than I thought.” Johan snickered as he covered his mouth with one hand. “Although I think that was overdoing it a bit.”

“Do you think *cough* that the dog *cough* is okay? *cough cough*” Cadence struggled to ask, making a pained expression.

“Hey!” Johan exclaimed in surprise. “Cover your mouth! If you breathe in too much of the ash, you’ll die!”

Johan was in the middle of struggling to rip a piece of cloth off from under his armor when suddenly dark energy began swirling through the air, making the ash move madly. Both of the psuedo-shinigami winced as they covered their eyes to keep from getting anything caught in them.

Anubis’s hand wrapped around Johan’s thick neck suddenly, as if to strangle him, but it was quickly obvious that it had another purpose. Johan began to groan as he felt his bodily fluids and reiatsu begin to leave him. At the same time, Anubis’ own wounds began to vanish slowly.

“Stop it!” Cadence cried. “You’re killing him!”

Anubis ignored him, showing no intention of stopping. Johan gripped Anubis’s forearm weakly and managed a small grin.

“The head-captain would kill me…” He murmured. “But I’m not part of Soul Society anymore, after all.”

Anubis was taken aback as he watched Johan’s right eye begin to harden and crack. Had he already taken enough fluids to affect the eyes already?

“Hado 96.” Johan grimaced as his reiatsu flared suddenly. “Ittokaso!”

Flames sprouted from below them, erupting toward the sky with Anubis at the center. Cadence wisely retreated, covering her mouth as she used shunpo to rush through the ash, getting as far away as she could as the flaming blade tip split through the suspended ash and into the sky, piercing the clouds above. Cadence was surprised. She hadn’t known that the horse man could use such a high leveled forbidden hado!

But she knew the effects of using such a powerful spell. She hesitated for a moment before holding her breath and began charging back toward the flames.

Anubis shot out of the flames, the burnt remains of the bandages he had used to defend himself blowing away in the wind. He had been lucky, even with the heavy wounds he’d sustained. If he hadn’t been absorbing the psuedo-shinigami’s reiatsu before the spell had been cast, he wasn’t sure how much worse it would have been.
Anubis turned to watch the flames recede one more into the ash, which began to settle as fog once again. Anubis began heading back down. He wanted to confirm the corpse, wrap it, and perform the burial ceremony, if there was anything left aside from ash.

Anubis was surprised to see that not only was Johan’s body completely intact, he was still alive. Color remained his face and shut eyelids. The sudden loss of water had certainly done its damage, but not enough apparently.

“His armor.” Anubis grimaced at the revelation as Cadence came through the ash on the other side and gasped to see Johan in one piece. “It protected him from his own flames.”

Which meant that both of his own ‘kaso’ techniques wouldn’t kill him. He’d have to either strangle the life out of him with his bandages or suck the life out with Kanso. He decided on the prior, not wanting to take any chances. He reached his hand out and bandages flew out toward Johan. Cadence through herself between the two and her blades whipped out to shred the bandages. Anubis held his scepter up as the bandages paused and flames spewed from the tip, engulfing Cadence. She threw herself out of the way, the instinct of self-preservation taking over, and the bandages flew at Johan once more, the tips forming sharp ends to pierce through his head.

“No!” Cadence screeched as she pushed herself up too late to try and intervene. She was too far to beat the bandages this time. Johan was going to die.

Or so she thought. Time seemed to slow down as a feathered figure descended through the ash and stood suspended in the air before Johan, one hand out. The air seemed to be so thick with energy, that not only did time seem to slow, the bandages’ progression slowed as well. The feathered figure clenched their hand and the bandages shattered to pieces, as if they were made of glass.

“Ma’at.” Anubis growled sinisterly at the figure. The goddess didn’t respond. She muttered a strange word under her breath and winds suddenly picked up, almost like a hurricane. The ash blew away almost instantly on the wind, leaving Cadence free to breathe and see properly. Anubis noticed one of Ma’at’s feathers had been caught by the wind and flew astray in the wind toward him. Anubis’ eyes widened as he drew back quickly to evade the feather and it continue to follow him at a casual pace.

“Saigo Kaso!” He said, swinging his staff out. Flames engulfed the feather and burned it to cinders that fell to the floor uselessly. Ma’at shook her head sadly.

“For you to be so wary of the Feather of Truth…” She murmured. “Anubis, please don’t do this. The Radicals—”

“I don’t want to hear anything from you, Ma’at.” Anubis snapped angrily. “You’re just like Osiris. I may be younger than you, but I’m not a kid. I’m a god! If you want to patronize someone, go find Set. I’m making my own decisions and I won’t let you chide me for them.”

“Such a pity.”

“Silence!” Anubis swung his staff out and more flames flew at Ma’at. She clapped her hands together and said a single word.

A barrier of invisible energy formed around Ma’at and Cadence, and the flames disappeared the moment they touched the barrier. Ma’at held her hands out to her sides, palms up, as if lifting something. “Se-kebeb.”

The ground beneath her sudden froze over in ice that headed toward Anubis. Anubis jumped out of the way immediately to avoid being caught in the frozen tundra she created and he stepped into the crater where some flames still flickered to keep away from the ice.

“Does the greatest Egyptian deity intend to use the words of power to protect trash?” Anubis demanded scathingly. “You’ve fallen, Ma’at!”

“It is not I who has fallen.” Ma’at replied sadly. “I do not wish to fight you, Anubis. But if you intend to harm these children, I will have no choice but to do so.”

Ma’at glanced back at Johan’s body for a moment and knelt down, tapping a hand to his chest.

Johan choked and spluttered, but did not wake up. His breathing became less ragged, however, and his skin took a healthier glow.

“That shook help keep him hydrated.” Ma’at sighed as she stood again. “Please keep him out of the crossfire, miss.”

“Um, no problem bird-lady.” Cadence replied, thoroughly dumbfounded. “You’re going to fight the doggie?”

“Athena advises me to, even though I’m a pacifist.” Ma’at smiled dryly. “Whether it is ‘strategy’ or ‘tactics’, I do not know. But I will not stand by well the innocent face impossible odds.”

I think I'll begin writing up the post, anyway. Do you think you could a small piece later, or something, after I've done mine? It would really help. I just want to get things established, so that the filler Arc doesn't just suddenly happen.

[Traitorous Kin!]

(Rurichiyo Kasumioji and Shu Kannogi sat in their prospective thrones, listening to the tedious blathering of their adjutant, along with their Shinigami Advisor and Shinigami Clan Captain. Ciela Asakumi was standing looking annoyed today, as she was sick and tired of the accusations that Adjutant Masahi was making about her superiors in the Seireitei.)

Masahi: And so, I motion that we, the Kasumioji clan move to sever our ties from the Seireitei and function on our own. We don't need the Shinigami here... They just cause trouble.

Ciela, a vein popping in her forehead: Listen here, you no good bastard, we don't cause 'trouble'. How many Hollows have we killed, in order to save your kinsmen? Don't be so quick to forget the services we provide you, adjutant!

Masahi: So what? If we had our own weapons, we wouldn't need your help in the first place.

Ciela: Ifs and buts, Masahi. Anyway, what weapons would you use? You are banned from using Bakkoto, so you have nothing.

(Masahi's eyes narrowed, he now looked angry.)

Masahi: That's because you Shinigami seem to feel superior to us, so superior that you decide whether we are allowed weapons, or not.

Ciela: That's not true! Bakkoto were banned because Gyokaku Kumoi caused pain to the Shinigami and killed many innocent Kasumioji clan members. You don't know what you are talking about. I was part of Squad Seven when it happened, 8th Seat to Sajin Komamura, and I was present when it happened. Don't try and tell me something, when you weren't even alive to see it.

Masahi: I have heard detailed accounts from people who were alive at the time and they seemed to think that Kumoi was acting under the orders of another. Perhaps you knew him... His name was, Shusuke Amagai.

Masahi: The truth hurts, doesn't it?

(Rurichiyo stood up, her shoulders quivering with held-in anger. Her face was red and her hands were balled into fists.)

Rurichiyo: Both of you, stop it now!!!

(Ciela and Masahi looked up; neither could disobey the word of their Princess, and, even if they thought to, she was so feisty, both would be reduced to shivering wrecks in moments.)

Rurichiyo: You are both being thoughtless. Many people, of the Shinigami and of the Kasumioji clan died because of Gyokaku Kumoi, Makoto Kibune and Shusuke Amagai. I will not have any arguing over it.

(Ciela's eyes widened.)

Ciela: You mean to say, Princess, that the former Captain Amagai was a traitor? Why was I never told about this?

Rurichiyo: Because the Seireitei didn't want the Shinigami to know that their Captain was a traitor. Only the Captains knew, along with Renji Abarai, Rukia Kuchiki and Ichigo Kurosaki, the Substitute Shinigami. This was to keep the morale up during the war against Sosuke Aizen and his Arrancars.

Ciela: Then Masahi is right. Do we Shinigami simply strive to oppress others?

Rurichiyo: You idiot, Masahi! Look what you've done now. Ciela, my dear, don't be silly. The Shinigami are doing their best to protect the souls under their protection. There may be selfish Shinigami out there, but, for the most part, they are looking out for others.

Masahi: I don't believe that rubbish for a minute. It is to suit their own selfish needs.

(Then he strode out in a huff, slamming the doors behind him.)

Ruruichiyo: What a fool...

Ciela: He's right, though. I've been too foolish to see it before now, but many of the Shinigami are selfish. They only protect souls because they have to, under law of the Soul Society. Besides, no-one would have ever gone against Genryuusai Yamamoto. But, I've been hearing things from my cousin in Squad Two. Her Captain, Soi Fon, said that things were bad at the moment. They said that the Head-Captain, Toshiro Hitsugaya, had banished a group of Shinigami, as they had powers of Gods. But, that isn't the worst of it. She also said that Toshiro banished them, because the Gods have been fighting and he was worried that the Shinigami would be targeted because of the pseudo-shinigami. What do you think this means?

Rurichiyo: I don't really know, but I think everything will work out.

(To Be Continued)

(Ok, here we go! Snooping!!!! Very short, but I hope this was sorta what you meant?)

[Finding clues.]

Shunsui Kyoraku snuck through the halls of the Department of Research and Development. The actions and movements of the noble houses were none of the shinigami business, but Hideaki was just as paranoid as Kurotsuchi was. He was bound to have surveillance on all the noble houses. He managed to sneak into their storage room for their surveillance tapes. He sat down at the chair, his fingers working at the station. He tried logging in, but the password held him up. He spent a few more minutes working on it.

Ogodei: “What are you doing here, captain?”

Shunsui froze: “Ah, well it seems as if I have been caught.”

Ogodei: “What are you doing? This is the Department of Research and Development, we don’t sell sake here.”

Shunsui: “Come on, why the tone? No need to be so harsh. I just came here to check on a few things.”

Ogodei: “Check on things? Last time I checked, you were captain of squad 8, not of squad 12.”

Shunsui: “Ah yes, but squad 8 doesn’t have recordings of the happenings of the noble houses.”

Ogodei: “We do not have such recordings either, but even if we did, why would you wish to know?”

Shunsui: “Well, knowing Hideaki, and I know Hideaki, he has recordings. As for what I want with them…let’s just say that I am intrigued.”

Ogodei: “You want to learn more about the Diadem?”

Shunsui: “Caught red-handed, I suppose.”

Ogodei looked at him for a few minutes, not blinking, and not talking. “Very well…I will show you, but it won’t do much, we have been swamped because Zanpakuto keep disappearing from the barracks.”

Shunsui: “Really? Disappearing? What do you mean by that?” *Stands up to let Ogodei sit*

Ogodei: *Starts typing at an incredible pace* “I mean exactly what I said. Zanpakuto are being stolen from the 12th squad barracks. Captain Hideaki has dispatched me to investigate the noble houses for any signs that they are stealing Zanpakuto, whereas he is investigating the other squads.”

Shunsui: “Ya, that sounds like him. I can assure you that neither of those are the correct answer.”

Ogodei: “Oh? Then could you enlighten me as to who is responsible?” *Continues typing, now scanning through the hours of recordings.*

Shunsui: “Nothing to worry about, you will have your Zanpakuto’s back soon.”

Ogodei: “Hmm…fine, here, you this is probably what you were needing.” Ogodei had paused the recording at the time where the noble houses were meeting. “Seems to be an informal meeting of the Noble Houses.”

Shunsui took the seat and watched the video carefully. “So…Adelheid has the Diadem now. That certainly sounds like it could backfire.” Shunsui took a thoughtful pose.

Ogodei: “If you’re done, could you please leave, I have to lock up.”

Shunsui looked at him and gave a smile. “Of course of course. Wouldn’t want to hold you up now.” He stood and left, still thinking. The shinigami may not be allowed to get involved, but there were other ways of seeing this through.

Ogodei made sure he was gone before he sat back down and worked furiously on the computer. In seconds, several files came up. “Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s hidden files. As soon as I crack these passwords, I can finally get some peace
