What happens to shinigami after they die?

Ive been thinking about this for awhile and i still have no explaination!
Since technically they are already dead so where do they go?

when a shinigami dies, their bodies are turned into the reiatsu that makes up the soul society. their spirit/soul however is reborn in the world of the living into another body. when आप die in that body you're reborn in the same body in the soul society with no पूर्व memories of the world of the living.
hollows are also दिया a सेकंड chance at life, through the same means. but the quincies were exterminated because instead of letting hollows requiem themselves, the quincies flat out killed them, breaking the cycle. hence why they hate soul reapers (for keeping peace)
it might be possible that ichigo is the incarnation of kaien...but when ichigo's mother died, kaien died as well. unless ichigo was born in the dangai precipice where the space/time versions of the demensions are misconscrewed, it would be possible for ichigo to be kaien reborn.

Ichigo looks like Kaien because they are cousins.ichi's dad is actually isshin shiba who was the head of the shiba clan , one of the 4 great noble clans in the soul society and was the captain of squad 10 at the time.but when he went to the human world, battled the hollow named white got saed द्वारा ichigo's mother who was a young teen at that time and a pure blood quincy.white went into her body and in order to sae her isshin used his reiatsu to सील, मुहर the hollow in her body so she wouldn't die.isshin was banished from soul society after losing his power.fell in loe with masaki ichi's mom and had ichi. when ichi was born the hollow that was in his mother was transferred to him.the दिन the hollow broke loose i.e in ichi's fight with byakuya his dad's power returned to him 20 years after he used it to sae his wife
