I think that Anne probably would've been secure in her status as queen if she had a living son. Cromwell might have still tried to get rid of her, but I don't think he would've had Henry's support.

Henry was obssessed to have a son, that's why Anne was so desperate and tried to get pregnant with another man. If she had a boy none of this would've happenned.

Henry would become tired of her eventually and get her executed...

but lets not forget that even with henry's obession for a male heir to carry on his legacy turned out to be anne's and his child: elizabeth not edward tudor with jane seymour...funny how fate turns out...and if anne DID have sons, as well as elizabeth, its common back in those days where it was 50/50 due to the conditions and medicine practices back then, that if Anne had sons they COULD have either lived and died could have gone either way but i believe if she HAD sons i STILL think Elizabeth would have ruled England anyways....cuz its fate and im a firm believer in that :)

Henry never stopped to feel attracted by Anne, even when he hated her. That's because he really fell in love with her, but he didn't accepted it; he prefferred to think he had been bewitched: so it was easy to blame her and to condamn her to die. Anne's son was his greatest hope and his greatest frustration: if Elizabeth had been a male, he would stay with her 'til the end.

It's really hard to tell what would have happend had she had a son.But some Historians (now I don't remember where I read/heard that so please don't quote me on this) believe that during their marriage Anne had like three or four more kids and that she did give him sons.But that they died.Well I say that if Henry VIII hadn't of cheated and waited so long to have more kids with his Queens then maybe he (and with the whole genitics thing there still wouldn't have been a 50/50 chance so) that they would/could have had sons.Am I right?
