Gray nendoroids are basically the nendoroids before they're painted. Like what alinah_09 said, maybe people want to paint them themselves. या maybe you're just seeing pictures of the figures while they're still being processed?

^Exactly what I am thinking. You're either seeing गेराज kits, unpainted figures left for the buyer to paint themselves, or, like in that photo, unfinished nendoroids that are a WIP.
