Nagato (長門), better known as Pain (ペイン, Pein), was the recognized leader of आकात्सुकि and Amegakure and was a major antagonist in the series. Referred to as "Leader" द्वारा all आकात्सुकि members except for Konan, who referred to him द्वारा his name, he directed the actions of the rest of the members and maintained authority over them. However, he took orders from Tobi,[1] who was actually Madara Uchiha, the benefactor of Akatsuki.

Nagato as a child.

During the war in Amegakure, two Konoha shinobi broke into Nagato's house looking for खाना thinking that the house had been abandoned....

The Ame Orphans were one of the many groups of orphans caused द्वारा one of Amegakure's wars. Forced to fend for themselves these three would eventually encounter the Sannin.
