Humphrey's POV.

It had been four weeks since I fought my brother Seth and killed him. Me, Kate, Garth,and Lilly were all walking up to Winston and Eve's मांद, डेन for they had called us. I walked in first with Kate leaning on her cause of my still broken leg and bruised ribs.Garth and Lilly followed us. When we got there we saw Tony inside with Eve and Winston.

"Hey dad what are आप doing here?" Garth asked his father. Tony looked around with a smile.

"Well son there's going to be a big change for the pack today." Tony told us. We sat down. Garth sat on the other side of me in case I fell over.

"It's time for new leader's. We are retireing so आप guys can take over." Winston said. We all just stared at him. I was so surprised द्वारा this.

"Are आप sure sir?" I asked. Winston nodded.

"It's alright Humphrey. We're all going to be in charge. We'll help each other." Kate told me. She then kissed my cheek.

"I guess it won't be so bad." I sighed. We then got up and went back to the den. When we got there I saw Aleu still staying right अगला to Shadow. Ever since he was knocked out द्वारा Seth and she pronouced her प्यार for him she would not leave him alone.

"Get used to that Shadow. When a girl see's the boy she love's almost die she won't leave his side." I chuckled. Shadow groaned.

"But I just want to take a nap. She won't leave me alone." He complained. Aleu looked hurt. Shadow sighed and nudged her. She smiled and laid down beside him to take a nap. I smiled. Kate walked over and chuckled.

"We were never like that, right?" I asked. Garth scoffed.

"Yeah y'all were."He said. Lilly giggled. I rolled my eye's.

"So were आप too. How did go again when your father's कहा it could work?" I laughed. It was Kate's turn to giggle. Garth and Lilly both blushed. Balto and Jenna both laughed. I heard snoring behind me. I turned and saw Shadow fast asleep. Aleu was just staying near him and sleeping as well. I decided to take a nap as well. I went and laid down in a corner. (Flashback)
I was walking to my friend Shakey's मांद, डेन when a tan form fell on me. I got up ready for a fight when I saw a beatiful tan भेड़िया girl in front of me. She got up and shook herself off.

"I'm sorry. I should watch where I'm going." She said. I shook my head to clear my thought's.

"It's alright. I guess I should know when somebody might crash into me." I chuckled. She laughed.

"My name's Kate. I'm Winston's daughter. What's your name?" Kate asked me. I blushed.

"My name's Humphrey. I'm an Omega. हे do आप wanna come play with me and my friends?" I asked.

"Sure." Kate कहा and we continued our trip to Shakey's. I was telling Kate joke's I knew.

"What's the difference between a bird and a fly?" I asked. Kate thought for a moment.

"I don't know." She said.

"A bird can fly but a fly can't bird." I chuckled. Kate laughed at this. She had such a beatiful laugh.

"Knock Knock?" I asked.

"Who's there?" Kate asked.

"Atch!" I कहा grinning.

"Atch Who?" She asked.

"I'm sorry I didn't know आप had a cold." I laughed. Kate laughed again. We then arrived at Shakey's Den. My other फ्रेंड्स were there as well."Hey guy's. This is Kate. She's going to hang out with us today." I said. They all greeted her.

"What are we going to do today?" Shakey asked. I thought for a moment.

"Why not go log sledding?" I suggested. My friend yipped yes. Kate just looked at me.

"What's that?" She asked. I grinned.

Kate was screaming and laughing as we aall just laughed. I then saw a big rock in our way. I knew we couldn't swerv it so held onto Kate tightly. We went flying and landed in the dust. Me and Kate rolled and when we stopped we had our noses touching. My फ्रेंड्स saw us and laughed.

"Kate and Humphrey sitting in a den." My friend Salty laughed. Me and Kate both blushed and got our noses away. I then heard a growl behind me. I turned and saw Eve who is Kate's mom behind me. Kate saw her mom growling at me. She stepped up to her.

"Mom it was an accident. We were just playing on the log." Kate told her. Eve then calmed down.

"Alright dear." She कहा and turned and headed back to the Den. Kate turned to me.

"I'm sorry. She's just so protective over me. Can we still be friends?" She asked. I nodded. Then I saw Seth over the hill.

"I gotta go घर now." I said.

"Yeah me too. See आप tommorow." Kate कहा and ran after her mother.

"See आप too." I कहा and ran up to Seth.

"Who was that Humphrey?" Seth asked.

"Just a new friend." I said. Seth rolled eye's.

"Right. Betcha आप can't catch me द्वारा the time we get home." Seth laughed. I grinned and ran after him.

I was nudged awake. I saw Kate staring at the dorrway. I looked and froze as I got up. Three भेड़िया were standing there. One steeped forward.

"Hello Humphrey." My friend Shakey said.
